Tasca Mazda in RI

Just curious if anyone ever dealt with them. Found out they are about 10min's away from my soon to be new house. I know they have a Reputation with Performance Ford Mustangs but not sure about their dealings with other car makes.

Any insight will be greatly apreciated

Only thing I know of them is they Tried to pass off an 8 with an appearance PKG as a Mazdaspeed RX-8 about 9 months ago on Ebay. They said it had 20 grand in aftermarket parts. Oh ya, I think they called it a ROCKET SHIP!

They're a dealership.

Hope that helps.

Messing with ya.

I used them for the tail light replacement. They seem like a pretty typical giant dealership. Don't expect to be overwhelmed by great service. I have no idea if they have anyone w/a clue about rotaries. I do know I the sales/finance dept. was 100% sleezeball BS. The saleman seemed great, but that was only b/c he was warming me up to have the finance mgr start the circle jerking.

I've posted it before, but the short version is this: they played a fair amount of bullshit games when I wanted to get my taillight fixed. Including -but not limited to-

telling me the tech who took pictures wasn't there, then not taking pictures the next time I brought it in
not returning calls
ok'd fix, took all my info (registration and all) but wanted me to wait until it dried out on its own first
when I finally just went in to the cashier's desk to book an appointment (b/c nobody would return calls) none of my info was in the system
last one - and this is my fault, b/c it was my first time there and didn't specify no wash, but add crappiest wash I've ever seen to the list & looked like they dried it w/dirty diapers while wearing bulky rings.

all in all, nothing about that place made me feel like they gave a **** about the vehicles in their care.

well outside of dmc's ordeal. i've had so far an ok time with them. i had the tailight recall done there also w/o any gripes or hesitation. the service guy looked up my warrenty info and said i was covered, ordered 2 new tailights and they were in 2 days later. i'm also having them lower my car this monday and they said they have done a couple before. they were the only ones willing to do the job. we'll see how they do very soon.

When I first went in to ask about it they were fine. They asked how many miles and said it was a warranty fix. The work was fine once I went and booked an appointment, as well. So I'm not saying they are bad, just that they won't wow you w/service & a stellar overall experience.

Basically, if you go in expecting a little bit of BS you should be fine. Either you get it, but it was expected & NBD, or you get none and are pleasantly surprised.

Thinking when my next oil change comes up of going to them and seeing about getting the De-carbing done. Gallery Mazda will just jerk me around and say its because of your aftermarket parts.

Or you can buy the stuff from Tommy and do the de-carb yourself. Then call my mechanic for the oil change (bring your own oil, though) and not pay the $30 bucks that the dealer will probably charge you.
