Stevens Car Show, Saturday November 3rd
Hello,
My name is Dave and I would like to invite everyone from rx8club to the Stevens Fall Cruise-In Auto Show. There are plenty of really nice RX-8s out there so we would definitely like to have some at our show.
The date is set for Saturday, November 3rd. It is taking place on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. Stevens is one of the top engineering schools in the area so there are plenty of tuner enthusiasts in the school. Both students and the general public will be able to attend the show and see the cars.
Registration for the show will begin around 9:00 AM and awards will be given out at around 4:00 PM. There will be over 20 awards given out for various categories. For people who aren’t familiar with Hoboken it is located adjacent to Jersey City right across the Hudson River from Manhattan. Here’s a map of the location:

Right now we’re just trying to generate interest so if you think you may want to show your car, please fill out this online form:
http://www.stevens.edu/techfest/carshow/register.html
This is a charity car show. Proceeds will go to Hoboken University Medical Center.
Please keep in mind that the show is a REGISTER-ONLY event. You must be registered in order to show your car. Represent the RX-8 community!
Thanks for your time and pass this information along to anyone who may be interested. Hope to see some hot RX-8s!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at dgoldste@stevens.edu.

Fees are not 100% decided right now, but will probably be around $20 to cover trophies and to contribute to the hospital. With registration you will recieve free lunch and drinks.
The categories will be for Classics, Domestics, Japanese, European, and Other. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each category as well as trophies for Best in Show and People's Choice. There will also be awards for best interior, paint, sound system, wheels, engine, body, and suspension. The details are still being worked out.

This is just a reminder that the Stevens Charity Auto Show is taking place this Saturday, November 3rd. The weather is looking good so we’re expecting to have a great day. If you’re interested in coming you can simply show up on Saturday between 9 and 10:30 AM to register your car. Since the proceeds from the show are going to Hoboken University Medical Center we are asking for a $25 registration fee for each car being entered in the show.
We are welcoming all types of cars ranging from stock factory tuned cars to highly modified show and race cars. If you require more information feel free to email me at dgoldste@stevens.edu for detailed directions, information on additional parking, rules and regulations, and the judging criteria for the awards.
If you wish you can buy a wristband for $5, which will allow you to eat and drink as much as you want all day. There will be a DJ playing music all day and there will also be live bands toward the end of the day. Since the event is being held in Hoboken you are welcome to keep your car on premises and enjoy one of Hoboken’s many bars and restaurants after the show.
Awards will be given out at 3 PM, which will include winners and runners-up for Classic, American, Japanese, and European cars. There will also be trophies for People’s Choice and Best in Show. Smaller awards will also be given out for best interior, exterior, engine, wheels/suspension, and audio/video system.
The show is open to the general public including many members of the tuning community. We are very accommodating with anything you might need for your display so if you need anything special let me know. There are plenty of great picture opportunities in Hoboken, especially right along the Hudson River with Manhattan in the background.
VEHICLE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 10:30 AM
