wow its been a while since ive been on this site, been to damn busy..Well heres my story of the day...I went to go get my car inspected in Lynn at the Shells on Boston St..the guy takes my car in starts revving it like crazy...and then another guys comes and takes over to inspect the car...He goes and tell me that everything on this car is illegal and he cant give me a sticker..in my mind im like wth is this guy talking about.

Here some of the reasonswhy he wouldn't pass me..
(1)Body kit...i told him that's factory option..I don't think he believed me one bit lmfao..i have an authentic mazdapspeed kit..
(2)Spoiler...He says my spoiler is illegal...i have an apr gt series spoiler on it
(3)Exhaust...continues to tell me my exhaust is illegal..I have a Borla exhaust 50 state street legal...he continues to tell me if I give him 100 bucks he'll take it off for me...im like wtf..is this guy for real
(4)Intake...tells me that illegal too...I have a Mazdaspeed Intake
(5)and last but not least..which is by far the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...he tries to tell me that my tail lights are illegal...hahah...lmfaoi have stock tail lights he thinks they're after market....

Thats pretty much the deal..lmfao..I literally peeled right out of there after...

 

Me thinks he be a Honda or 350z owner.

Should of commented that you feel bad his business will being going bankrupt soon as you left.

I say take it to another place, I'm sure you'll pass with no problems. This is about the ONLY time I'm glad to live in CA, we don't really have 'inspections'. Just after 5 years we need to smog our car every other year.

 

yea 90 percent of the hondas and acuras in Lynn shouldn't even have stickers on them here and i can't even get a sticker wtf..with all legal(not stolen like everybody else that lives in Lynn) parts lmfao

 

well in MA you get a free retest at the same spot, but that guy sounds like an idiot.

there is a number you can call to report him, should be on the 'fail' paperwork they gave you.

Bring your car to a different place. And bring info from borla stating your exhaust system is legal

Ha ha ha, I went to a shop with my tacoma(toyota recalled it) I had just finished a front solid axle swap from an 87 grand wagoneer, with 12" travel abjustable coilovers and a 3 link suspension with panhard and 35" mudterrains. I kept it as low as I could but on 35"s I as 8" over stock height.

Kid goes "all set"
Me "what does that mean?"
Kid " it's not that tall, you just have big tires on a stock suspension"
Me "yep, that's all"
Ha ha ha what an idiot, didn't realize I had $10,000 in the front end alone and let me pass.

 

The downside is that they typically strip off your old inspection sticker as soon as they drive it into the bay, so now he's got none. But obviously another inspection station is in order.

I have no problem with clear corners/stealth bulbs and no front license plate (although they ask to see the plate in the trunk, just to be sure someone else isn't using it).

btw: it's rather retarded to spell it retarted.

 

Maybe the inspection place was trying to play you as a retart

man i had a similar problem but not as bad ... the guy told me my car was too low! (stechs on stock shocks and ms sides evo-r front) i was like how the **** does that matter ... anyway if you look around youll find a place like i did where you go in sit in your car and the inspection sticker magically appears

I'm unsure if I would of laughed at the guy or punched him. Part of me wishes he failed you just so you could report him for fraud.
I'd report him anyways forget how but I'm sure someone would know how.

Btw we need to hang out man! Should hit up the Tunnel Run I'll be going but hitching a ride in something other than the Volvo. Unless someone has a hood mount for a camera hehe
