Angry Spotted: Wrecked 8 in CT

Just spotted a wrecked Winning Blue 8 in New London CT, just prior to exit 92, just before 8am, in the median between guardrails off I-95. Heavy front end damage, some side damage probably from bouncing off the rails as it slid down there.

Fire and PD was just arriving on scene. Hope your ok.

Yikes... My WB is sleeping the garage still.. I have yet to pass by an RX-8 crash but I'm not sure I'd be able to handle seeing it..

Yeah. Heavy rain at the time, and I was slowing down and moving left to make room, certainly wasn't expecting to see that the wreck was an 8. Kinda wrenching at my heart

My first thought was the right lane that ends just prior to that + heavy rain + stock tires as the cause. I doubt speed was a factor, but the wet grass wouldn't have slowed it much at all once it left the road. It's front end damage seemed to be from hitting the overhead sign support there

I expect to see several 8's on this trip, but not like that

Only info I could see about it was that it had a stock spoiler, couldn't tell anything else that might indicate trim or mods, and I wasn't about to rubber-neck and add another vehicle to the mess.
