Split cost, share or borrow PC 7424

Hi, I own a Brilliant Black 04 rx8 that doesn't look so brilliant. I am the second owner of this very low mileage (8k when I bought it, now 11k) car. Unfortuneatley the first owner let the paint go awry something awful. It has multiple bad touchups, some sever marring and horrible swirl marks from a bad buff job (or 2!). I spent all day today in vain with foam pads and elbow grease confirming my suspicion that the damage extends beyond what can be done by hand.

Is there anyone in the area that would lend a fellow enthusiast a hand and loan me there PC for a day? Or, would anyone like to go in on a purchase of one of these amazing machines and share it?

I live in RI, but SE mass and northeast CT aren't too far away!

You missed the NEPOC spring clean meet. Well we did not do much with the PC anyway. I have the 7424. Combined with the right polishes and waxes I'm sure someone can assist if not I.

Yeah, I really wanted to make the spring clean (along with my dad who has a mazda speed mx5), but the timing for us was lousy.

eforer, I have the PC 7424.... i got a recommendation from a detailer to use menzerna powergloss, which is a harsher compound than a typical swirl remover. this is because our paint is harder.

if you want to come over one day, i live in waltham, MA, we can try out some pad/product combinations on your 8 (i have a bunch). if one of them works ok, you can borrow the polisher
