So im ok.. Not so much the 8

So i was going to drop people off at their home in dover last night. I was following behind a car. The car put on its right blinker and slowed down to turn right. As i started to go around the car, the driver decieded to take a sharp left. I tried to speed up to avoid my front bumber from getting hit and I got clipped in the rear doors. After I chased the person down 6 blocks from where I got hit I called the cops. The girl didnt have insurance and the cops wrote a report. Made the claim today and the insurance company. Now its a waiting game.. Only have had it for 3 weeks..

yeah in NH you dont have to have it. But since I do im pretty sure ill at least be covered and then they can go after her for the money. anyways, ordered seibon carbon fiber doors today for both the front and suicide doors. Didnt plan on modding till the spring but might as well do it now. prolly going to order the cf hood and fenders and lip kit as well.

Seibon cf doors are out at least a month from the place I was ordering them from. Looking for anyone who may have the front and back doors in cf or know some good companies.

CF doors doesn't seem safe for DD...won't they just deform and/or destroy themselves if you ever got side swiped like that again?

is NH like VA where drivers can just pay $$$ to say I don't have insurance? In VA you can pay 500 bucks a year to hit people and drive away..

If you dont have an auto loan on the car you dont have to have insurance but you are still held liable. Its not going to be my DD for ever, but i figure i might as well start the work now.

i'm glad to see you'll be painting it but i guess i just don't understand the reasoning behind wanting to go CF for doors. are you going to get much weight savings out of it and are you going to be tracking it to make use of any savings? do you know how much weight you'll be shedding? not saying you're wrong to do so - just trying to make sure you've really thought it all through before potentially losing some structural integrity.

Note to self: do NOT move to NH or VA where people can ride uninsured.

Yeah, its not so much about the weight as it is about the look. Im a big carbon fiber guy and planned to do this anyways. Then ill be incorperating it into the paint job. The car will soon enough not be my DD but i need it to be fixed. I figure why go get a new set of doors when I can use the money the way I want to, to get the doors I want. If that makes sense, hah
