RX8s in NY
Where are all the RX8 owners in NY? I live down south (NYC suburbs) and I have seen only one besides mine. I have had mine for 2 months and was researching it for about 2 months prior. I know this car is not well suited for the NE winters, but I saw several at different delaers, but I don't see any on the roads. I drive from NY to CT for work and have never seen any on 84/684 or 287. The one I saw was on 95 in CT. Just curious.

I live in Poughquag (Dutchess County). 60 miles north of NYC. I am sure there are ones in NY, but not many up my may and I don't beleive a lot when compared to other vehicles. I found my Red GT (loaded) sitting on a lot in 10/04 with many others that were built the end of 2003. So apparently they weren't selling many. I also fouind the same at three other Mazda delaers and that's about all there is within an hour of me. I picked mine up in Middletown almost near PA.

If you come to Manhattan ( especially the east village at night) you will will see my titanium 6 speed. I usually see at least 1 or 2 rx8's every weekend in the city. (from ppl that live outside manhattan) Someone 2 blocks away from me owns an automatic silver, and there is another 8 owner on the west side of manhattan that owns one with the ful MS body kit.
People think we're crazy to own such a nice car in manhattan but as long as you have a garage it is posible - but once out for the evening I never pay for parking- just park it on the street with no problems so far (though the bumpers are wrapped in 3M rockguard for careless parkers)
