I plan to attend on April 3. Will have my father in law with me as navigator. Let's hope weather is better this time.

I HOPE the weather will be good for us. I know that they are forecasting some rain for saturday. The clubs schedule would very much be behind if we have to reschedule again!

Cross fingers

It is Sunday, and NONE may be coming. I cant believe the weather systems we are having. Theres a flood watch for Saturday/Sunday, so a decision will be made Friday night.

I am so sorry to everyone, but it makes sense to have a good day of weather, unless anyone disagrees?

I'm all for waiting for nice weather - or at least lack of flood watches, torrential rain, wind, etc., lol...

I THINK it's supposed to be better sunday versus saturday, but still rainy. River Road in Yardley was under water wednesday (I can honestly say I drove my RX-8 through the Delaware River)... I can only imagine what it'll be like along the river sunday when saturday's runoff comes down.

Calm calm. I always give benefit of the doubt when it comes to the weather in our area. I can honestly say this has NEVER happened!

An email has just gone out to confirm that the meet and drive will be canceled due to flooding in the area. The rain will stop over night, however 29 and River Road are not trust worthy. Locals of the area will especially understand.

This is frustrating - we spent a good day planning the trip, however it would be a real wash out if we went ahead. I am sure you all agree.

As always, please drop me an email if you get alittle too itchy

I hear that the Delaware is supposed to crest at 27 feet above normal height sometime around now, which is a horrifying statistic if the news was correct. I also have heard that half of Yardley is under water so that would mean we would have needed amphi-RX-8s to go ahead. I can't believe this weather!

Eventually, we will find a day to get together. Has to happen . . . right?

My friends and coworkers are now demanding we stop planning meets, lol... seems to being bad weather!

New Hope is supposed to crest around 1am, and be worse than the september flood. The "WaterWorks" condos (aptly named) just south of town are flooded. Main Street itself is supposed to flood over tonight. Yardley is already flooded. I'm guessing the free bridge is closed as it was before. State Of Emergencies are in place in both towns: you couldn't get into New Hope today if you tried

It's really sad. After the september floods, if you cruised up either side of the Delaware, all you'd see is everyone's destroyed belongings out in the yard, being thrown out. You could see the high water mark on the cliffsides and walls... just unbelievable it got that high. And here we go again.

Finding a route to work tomorrow should be interesting...

The floods are pretty bad around here, and much worse than September. its quite sad really - all it took was a couple of inches of rain! It will be worth it in the end. sadly our princeton meet will be missed this year and the spring drive will take its place. Will reschedule for April 17th - sticking to the sunday....

may i suggest a meet in another place in the tri-state which doesnt flood as much...maybe something a little more north? not too close to the water....or it could be had in a place real close to water that isnt flood prone?...i know when i owned my other car we had meets near bear mountain in a park called Harriman park....there are plenty of great curvy roads up there...also there is another place on the jersey side of the river at edgewater and you could have a great back drop of NYC...just of few random thoughts...

Chrism - that is an idea yes, but I dont expect there to be more flooding in the near future. We have discovered in the past regardless of the meet place, when theres rain or snow, most folks do not want to risk taking out their 8's.

I am interested in edgewater idea - sounds awesome. Why dont you send me an email at wayne@rx8tristateclub.com..perhaps this could be another summer/fall meet.
