Also note the facility varies between a mud hole if there has been any rain and a dust bowl if not. Not an ideal locale for any attempt at concours.
The facility is the home of the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show now known as NJ State Fair. It has horse stables, riding rings, livestock pens and lots of grassy parking unless rainy, see above. I have attended a stand during the fair for many of the past 15 years as a resident of Sussex County.
Actually the pond is filled with fish. I was up there saturday, and there were about 30 people there fishing

why has it been moved from the park in lake hiawatha ?
it use to be 2min from my house.
I moved it becouse there is not enough room. Last year I had allmost 200 cars crammed in that little park, and that was with no rx-8's since they were not out on the road yet

Anyone from the MD/VA/DC area going to ROTORFEST? I'm leaving early Sunday morning maybe we can travel together in a Caravan or small group of RX-8'S.

new owner from NJ here ! :o)

Hi everybody,

Got a titanium A/T RX-8 with SP last night. Just in time for the Rotorfest, looks like! Talking about timing....
Anyway, I'll come around noon there in my stock RX, hopefully I get to meet some of you there to listen and learn.... A nice easy drive to help with breaking in the engine - not bad, only 1 hour away (I live in the Summit/Springfield/Short Hills area)

cheers,
Alex

Gotta drive slow sloow slooow sloooooow...... for 1000 miles ! >:|

Talking Just got back!

Just got back from ROTORFEST 2004 a few hours ago.

Had a pretty nice time. There were about 12 RX-8's including mine that I saw. I have to give props to the silver "8" Acosta Motorsports it a big turbo that they claim can get about 900hp to the wheels "I'm not sure about that" seems too good to be true but hey anything's possible right?

And of course the RX-7 (FB,FC,FD) were pretty sharp as well.

I must say that was a freakin long *** drive from my house about 4.5 hrs! The way up was fine, no traffic. The way home sucked b/c of traffic.

Heard great things about the day. Perhaps next year we will have enough courageous RX-8's to meet the 7's! We will have a full writeup posted on the site this week, and may also be published in Mazdasport Magazine
