Congrats again Edgar!!!
@Heeroguy
when you let the public vote, It turns in to a popularity contest.....
when u have judges......Winners win because of different taste.......
In the end no one is ever really happy......lol..
I just go and enjoy catching up with old friends..... everything else is a bonus

Oh I had a great time. And am in no way upset. Just curious. The 3Rd place guy tough. He is pissed. And I thought he was gonna win.
I went expecting nothing and got second in rx 8 and like 4-5 overall so was happy as ****

Yes I'm not going to lie I was very up set coming in third. Only because I guess I put some much work into the car for this event. **** I just got the bitch running Saturday. Both 1st and 2nd were awesome cars, and like Dennis said, when you have judges there taste determines the winner. And trophies etc are def just bonuses to a great well put together event, where we as a rotary community were able to come together to share our passion. Seeing friends and their cars and how far they've come from over the years was an awesome experience and that's what it was about for me.

and hear ya on the work i spend easily 40 hours last week, buffed it, polished it, put a dupont paint protection on it, put a sealer over that, and 2 coats of wax, redid all trim, engine bay wheel wells etc etc etc. but was worth it cause my baby was shinning =)
but i was doing that cause to me you were my biggest competition.
granted first place forget his name sorry bud. was cool as **** and we talked for a good bit. his car was ultra clean. but i assumed the judges were looking for more than stock. but as a stock 8 his won hands down. i didnt care what place i got. i just wanted that trophy as it was the coolest trophy i have ever seen.
and only reason i brought this up wasnt to start a issue. i was just curious what i lost points on and what judges were looking for. and thats it.
and if you guys have never seen any sick rotaries drag race. you have to see some it was an amazing experience the sounds and explosions those cars made was just unreal and easily the best part of the day.
that veilside rx7 didnt hamper matters =)
and for what it matters omar i was sweating big and imo you shoulda go second, but cant change the past unfortunaly. also if i woulda had another $50 in my pocket that sway bar woulda been sold lol

I didnt even know the show was being judged with trophies. I didn't even wash my car... I was just happy to park inside with a whole ton of awesome cars. Ive gone to plenty of events like that but always parked outside and walked in.
I took a bunch of pics and am about to upload them. Most of them are of FDs though cuz Ive always wanted one and love the way they look. Just a warning. That red one with the Recaros and blacked out engine bay was amazing.

lol i can top that with my car dying and not wanting to start 11 minutes away from rotor fest... and then Ray fixing my car....and washing my car the night before from 11:30 - 2:30am cant forget about the maf gasket i made out of electrical tape to get my car to not stall after 4 seconds.
I got in the top 50, along with my friend danny who has a 05 BB with chrome $100 rims and an AP exhaust.
judging was really whack.
A lot of people were walking by my car which i thought was pretty cool, i didnt think i would get any attention seeing as i was stock looking, but i guess not.
Met a lot of friendly people and caught up with friends. Hung out with my gf and watched some pretty fast chainsaws go down the strip. rotor fest= success.
