Don't see many here. I see one in this town (120k people) every now and then.

The parking lot at my work (400 cars) had one 2009-2010. That was it. There are 2 WRX STIs, a Focus RS, Caymen, 2 Teslas, several sporty Audis BMWs etc, lots of gearheads. Not many rotorheads!

I’ve seen a few in the Philly area. I’ve seen 2 R3s, 1 Series 2 GT, and maybe 5 or 6 series 1s within the past 3 years of owning mine. I did see an R3 in NY which blew my mind. That guy is a brave soul lol. I see more S2Ks more than anything though which I find odd...

S2k is not that common around where I live. Used to be one I saw everyday at my old job.

I mean, if you don't need 4 seats and can sacrifice some comfort, I think S2k is a pretty cool car.

If I could fit comfortably in an S2k, and didn't need back seats, I might have bought one instead of the R3...

I have a love hate relationship when it comes to soft tops. I love what the car stands for and it’s performance (Miata and S2K) but to me the car looks unappealing with the top up

I don't see many in my haunts between Frisco and Carrollton, either. I saw one last week, and felt the need to point it out to my wife, for example. I have to believe most are bouncing around and barely running in the low rent areas, or have already been through the crushers.

Funny thing is... I took mine in for the airbag recall a few weeks ago, and the service guy did the rev to 7000 before shutting it down thing. I thought that was amusing. Then, I heard it two more times, which made me think my car must already be ready already. It turns out there were two more in for airbag inflater recalls. I mentioned it to the service manager, who remarked that they had not seen three running RX-8s in the same day in several years.
