I plan on putting on my snow tires mid october. I definitely want them on before the first snow fall or rainy day during a cold spell.

Do you have them mounted on their own rims? If not rushing out to get tires swapped can be a pain. I have mine mounted and wait till it gets close to freezing in the morning. Most of the time this is late November.

I usually put 'em on just before Thanksgiving—and like to have 'em off by April 1. (But since the OEM summer tires start to lose grip below 50º, you might want to have 'em on by October.)

I sadly have Avon A/S tires on my 8 Thank you 16" rim base model. Though if I still dont get good traction I can just take the bus to work. The one thing that is making me rethink leaving my current job.
