most cases I'd be okay to go for a group rate, but too many ppl back out of meets, and I'm not comfortable taking the brunt of people's indecision. So we're booking our own rooms.

It's ok, he probably was just forecasting what I failed to.... I have finals for my last quarter of school and group projects those last two weeks. There's no way I'm going to be able to go. me 2 but dealing with hotels and what not, thats kind of scarying people away.

well this is why you should invite kurt and your texas friend and then split the room, maybe convince some other rx8clubbers that you trust to room with ^_^ then you can bump it down to like $60 per person, just don't tell travelocity that you'll have more than 2 ppl, they won't check in on you and you can have 2 ppl per bed, or have some floor sleepers
