The Fourth NYRA meet will be on Sunday July 22nd, 2007 at Heckscher State Park in Suffolk County Long Island. Heckscher State Park has millions of visitors every year helping the park obtain its status as one of the top 100 parks to visit in the United States. The park contains hikinig trails, bike paths, and even a swimming pool complex. There are picnic areas with shade and large parking areas. Since this is a State park like bear mountain there is a cover charge of $6 per vehicle (not per person).

The time will be announced shortly depending on the outcome of my visit this week to the park.

Directions will also be posted shortly but there really very simple.

Take Cross island or I-495 to Southern State Parkway. Take that till the Southern State ends and follow signs for the park, badda bing baddda boom.

We can make this the replacement event for Rotorfest. Our meets average between 50-70 cars per event.

Park charges $6 per vehicle, we have trees, benches, we can BBQ (everyone chips in and we eat as a family), they have other amnemities.

So hope to see everyone there. NY, NJ, CT, MA, NH, PA, MD everyone is more than welcome to come =)

Okay guys i just posted directions on how to get to the park in LI

It took me about 45 minutes to do, so please check it out and see if that helps you guys out. I put the directions more or less form queens cuz your not going to get to LI without coming into queens.

I did it from North, Central and South Queens so i think i got it pretty much covered.

LOL What a coincidence! I'll be in Canada too during that weekend (Toronto). Caaahhlvin - how are you getting to Canada? Flying or driving?
If flying - how much and who did you book with.
If driing - wanna caravan?!

As for the meet.... That Heckscher park is really nice. There is a long bit of road that you can all terrorize - just use FRS radios to clear the road of cops and bikers.

I wish I could goto this one, last time I was there an SRT-4 meet was in the works.... They had what looked to be 60 cars there!

Well i set up a lil caravan, if ure coming from NJ, CT or Queens link up with me on 108th thru 111th streeet and astoria blvd in east elmhurst queens 11369.

If ure coming from CT and take Whitestone bridge this meet up spot is only 7 minutes outta the way and is worht linking up. For NJ guys this is along the way.

For Queens and NYC guys google teh spot.

We will leave at 845 on the DOT no exceptions if your late catch up to us we will be doing the speedlimit on whitestone expresswy, cross island and SOuthernstate
