If your RX-8 is illegally parked in NYC and gets towed, do the tow truck operators know (or even care) that your car is RWD? If so, how would they know that? With most cars FWD, I would guess they assume all cars are like that. And would then tow your RX-8 dragging its rear tires down the street, against their will.

(By the way, this is a hypothetical question. My car has never been towed. Not yet, anyway.)

 

I would assume they would grab it from the back. And bounce the nose off the pavement all the way to the impound lot.

They dont have to care.... remember towing is generally an "at owners expense" service, especially if you parked illegally in a place that explicitly states "will be towed at owners expense" lol

Yup, when my civic got towed the same happened. Barring that you have any special security system, they generally release the windows and drop the ebrake.

This is how NYC government works. they don't give a ****, they just want your money.
