NYC-NJ Rotorjam Caravan 08
Since its been there and every one knows the spots i would like to keep it simple and same.....
Rotorjam Caravan meet will be located on Spring Street 1 block from the HOLLAND TUNNEL. We will meet up there by 8:00am and stay till about 8:45am. We will then go to NJ (where the NJ heads will be ALREADY waiting by MOBILE gas station/Dunken Donuts Parking Lot). We will leave no later than 9:15am (45 minute drive to exit 48 off Route 80). We will then arrive at 10:00am sharp at the NJ location where the NJ/NY/MA/RI/CT guys will be. Therefore NY and NJ caravans will meet up and we can hang out for 15-30 minutes and meet one another, then we can depart in a monster caravan to Rotorjam. Rotorjam starts at 11:00am, We will be there when they just open and will be first to arrive.
FINAL SCHEDULE:
1. NY Meeting on WASHINGTON STREET, between W Houston and Spring Street. From this street we can easily get to the HOLLAND TUNNEL (make a left on spring st and a right on varick). This street has factories and is always dead, and very big to accomodate our cars.
2. Be there at 8:00am Sharp.
3. 8:30-8:45am we will be leaving to meet the NJ Caravan at the Baskin Robins/Dunken Donuts &Parking Lot (if the parking lot is too full park next to the gas station). Here we can get coffee and donuts and supplies for the trip.
4. 9:00am-9:15am we will be leaving the dunken donut/ gas station area and go to ROTORJAM. We will jump on I-95 NJ Turnpike Going North towards I-80 West!

REMINDER: NY Side 8am....845am we leave to meet up with NJ people.
Leave NJ the latest 9:15am, so anyone who cant meet up with us at 845am by the holland tunnel, go straight thru the tunnel and catch us by the NJ side.
REMINDER2: New york people, meet up on Washington Street which is located between W. Houston and Spring Street. Its a empty street that can accomodate our cars with no one bothering us.
From this street u make a left on spring street and on Varick STreet we make a right and it leads you directly into the TUNNEL. This is the best spot so we will see everyone there at 8am so get tehre 15minutes early to wait for everyone until 830am no waiting sorry iight. We cant keep our counterpartrs on NJ waiting.
REMINDER3: You Jerseys guys meet up by gas station and Basking RObins/ Dunken Donuts parking lot or since ya live there anywhere else close to the holland that can accomodate all our sevens. Cause i know people would like to stop and pick up some supplies such as Water, candy, donuts, coffee or hookers. US NY guys will have enuf time to run and get what we need before we set off on our trip.
REMINDER4: Please Bring your own directions just in case we get seperated.
We will link up at exit 48 off of route 80 with the NJ Caravan..

I'm coming out for this one, my friend with the silver rx-7 will also be coming, that is if we have time to put his spare motor in, in time, or else he will be riding with me.
Im actually supposed to be moving back into my apartment the 13th because my summer quarter starts the 14th, but i think it will be ok if i miss one day.
so NY people meet up in NYC at 8:00...

Chris is staff this year so he might have to get there early. Previous NJ meet up spot other than at the DD/Basking Robbins outside the Holland Tunnel was off exit 48 on route 80 in Kel's area. I'm not sure if Kel will be there this year or if he'll be at Rotorfest early as well. I was there pretty early last year - first car after Kel - so I know the spot. The caravan its self is a little ..... lively?..... so there is a decent amount of separation. I'd suggest everyone take a good look at the directions. I got handed a copy of directions last year which I followed to a T. Consequently, I arrived at RotorFest entirely by myself but ahead of most of the caravan despite my somewhat more conservative highway behavior.
I'm not sure if I'll be caravaning this year as I actually have to drive east to the meeting spot just to drive back west. Also, I really like sleeping.
Important note - exit 48 off 80 does not exist if you are on 80 east. It is only off 80 west. If you are local, you can get there anyway off 46, but if you're not, I'd do some research on how to get to it.

Hey Kel .... do you remember a while back ... a kid who worked in cablevision.... stopped you and was looking at your 8 and asked you couple stuff out in P-town ....??
Anyway .... also i live like 10-15 mins from the drag ... where is the meet off 80... maybe i'll meet up there if i feel like driving away then back ... haha ... i wanna be cool and in a caravan.... the drive looks S.I.C.K
