Is it still illegal in NJ to have window tint on the driver side window?

front ,driver & passenger sides are not legal in NJ
on my s4 i had all the windows tinted even the front windshield limo maybe darker.
car came like that but damn was it fun

Damn, that stinks.. no point in getting the rear tinted since it will look like crap.. NJ has to get with the times.. though I can't really blame the state for the regulation. Too many cops get shot from people hiding guns as they walk up on a car.

The question is if you will pass your vehicle inspection. Cause the DMV/MVS could at that point make you take it all off if you want to pass inspection. Of course you always have the option to go to a private inspection center.....

i have my windows tinted all around. its gonna be 2oo8 when i go for inspection and when i do someone told me to just leave my windows down and i'll be save :D so hopefully it'll work

or you could pay, most private shops will pass you for a fee they charge like 60 $
