NY NEW YORK STATE Eradication of FRONT LICENSE PLATE Petition

We may as well try to help Gov. Pattern with his budget crisis and help NYS balance the budget as well and help ourselves from these silly waste of time no front plate violations in which NYS barely receives any revenue from.

Do the right thing and sign the petition and pass it along to everyother NYS driver and lets get rid of the need of a front plate!!!!!

http://www.petitiononline.com/NYSFLPR/petition.html

There are politicians that feel from plates are worthless as well.

http://blog.nj.com/ledgerupdates/200...ron/print.html

Colorado save nearly $3,000,000 a year by eliminating the need of a front plate. Revenues from front plate violations do not nearly come close to that figure.

Good luck! Stupid *** law. RI has it, too. Cops don't even bother enforcing it, even when pulling me, er, people over for other violations.

man i hope this **** goes through...stupid cop.."its a safety issue"

more like its an oppertunity to run your plate in the opposite direction to stalk your *** before you even think about going 25mph...which is before you think about going 30 which is way before you think about really speeding

cops are dicks

just tuesday i had one stalking me, and all i was doing was folowing my friend to starbucks not even 25!! we stop at a light he gets in the far left lane (hes the only one in that lane mind you) behind me (whos in the middle[so i guess that would be diagonal rear]) runs my plate and waits for me to do something

idk wtf he was thinking i was gona do....
first off im not stupid,
second the only ticket i ever had was for (suposedly[more dickish cops]) running a red light,
third(and i hate to admit this) im on the same insurance as my parents and the car is registered to my mom(still not sure why, to lazy to change it) so its not like he could have known who was driving
fourth, my car isnt even loud, i have a rb exhaust and anyone who knows about rb knows that at and near idle, you cant hear ****

so long story short, they can say whatever they want about safety, but really its just to give more oppertunities to dick cops to give bullshit tickets..so they can get you at any direction

oh i agree but in comparison of the revenue brought in to the costs of making the plates it doesnt add up. theentire process of writing a ticket issueing it and taking the cops time is more exspensive than the plate itself. from an economic stand point of view its assonine to even waste money especially when we are in a budget crises that affects hospitals, schools, public safety and public services.

Like I said Colorado save nearly $3 million dollars. I am pretty sure NY does not bring in $3 million dollars in revenue from "NO FRONT PLATE" summons/tickets. 20 states have no front plate and none of them have any concerns or problems thus far cause if they did they would produce front plates as well.
