Hey everyone, I just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself as the newest RX-8 owner in MD... I just picked up my GT galaxy grey 6-speed at the dealer this morning

I live up in Bel Air, if anybody knows where that is. Anyway, I'm happy to join the club of proud RX-8 owners, I've been after one for three years and finally got to a point where I could financially afford it. Upgraded from a 4 door red cavalier sedan! Bit of an upgrade I'd say eh?

I'm looking forward to finally owning the local civics !

 

If you're anywhere near Abingdon, I'll be up that way this weekend!

Hey we now have 2 people up there in harford county that I know of.

 

Hate to break the news to you but if you're going against a civic that's mildly modded, you won't be owning anyone.

 

shhh....let him live the dream!

 

Come on guys, dont be so negative off the break. He will discover what he can and cant beat in due time. With the right mods he can beat a civic all over town... Just let him discover things on his own and find out by trial and error what the car is capeable of. This car might not be the best str8 line car but it can surely out handle most things on the road including the civic!

 

See Holy, I realize this, but you have to understand that harford county's local civics resemble rice factories more than anything. I've seen/heard two that actually look/sound like they have performance mods... one has a humongoid intercooler and a massive boost gague so I know that one does ^_^

Half of the civics around here have door panels falling off, unpainted body kits and fake roof scoops...

Well, that didn't last long. I took my car out tonight and an older lady ran right into my front left fender... so now my car is in the body shop and I'm fretting over insurance. The accident could go either way as my fault or hers, I went to make a left hand turn and she came up around a corner too quickly and ran into me.

Oh well, we'll see what happens... heck of a christmas eve though.

Best of lucking getting your 8 back soon. Make sure you read the break in threads before you start pushing her. I found it really took me a long time to learn to drive the car right, and really get good performance out of it. When you eventualy have a need for speed - read the Axial FLow supercharger thread in major horsepower area - should be available soon. I have been in a supercharged and Turbo's RX8 and can;t get to get mine charged.
