New! NYC Thursday Night Weeklyn Meet Information !
^ How was Flushing meadows friday night? I went Saturday night and it was near dead.. Its usually pretty live. Looks like the weathers starting to chase people back into hibernation.
How's the gas situation looking in Queens and LI? All the stations are ******* dry in Staten Island, north Jersey, and Brooklyn! ****! My friend from S.I. came to Brooklyn tonight and lined up for blocks for one station in my neighborhood. I figured I'd avoid the lines and go at 4:00AM. Nothing, dry, closed. I went to 8 other stations... They're all dry.
Gas situation is looking bleek here in Queens.. People here are waiting up to 12 hours on gas lines. Hopefully it gets better by this week. Most stations are dry and the ones that have, have little. So their putting limits on how much gas people can buy, and at that its only regular 87 octane! What?
I still have a little over quarter tank left since I filled up before the hurricane. Im trying to make it last as long as possible until this gas shortage bullcrap passes. There's no way im waiting hours on line and neither am I putting 87 in my 8 -_-

My father went to ct last night and brought me back some gas. He said everything was normal out there, he brought me back 7 gallons. If things keep going like this i might do the trip to ct myself got a little over half a tank

Yup I've heard from quite a few people they waited close to 12 hours. Some just park at a gas station thats rumored to get a delivery soon and leave their car for a few hours at a time. I work at an auto parts store, since this gas situation started I've been hearing the craziest stories of desperation for gas.
Those "12 hours" is a bit of an exaggeration to say the least. Their cars might have waited at a (closed) station for hours, but doubtful anyone would be stupid enough to sit in their cars and wait said "12 hours."
With that said, there are still massive lines at stations in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. Though not as bad as last week, but still expect an hour wait at most stations (if avail).

So you assume, but you vastly underestimate how stupid some people can really be... I deal with the general public everyday. Most are sensible but I actually believe some people are willing to wait 12 hours in line for gas, and I know for a fact also that some are willing to pay up to $10 a gallon from sources other than a gas station as well.. Just to avoid said lines.
As menttioned, the gas situation in connecticut is fine. You may have to go as far as the stamford area, but it's not that far of a drive, and going for a drive in the 8 is better than sitting idle in line!
The gas situation on long island is still shitty-shitty bang bang.

Seems like this threads been dead for a while.. I think I should revive it with a few pics
Most recent project of the members of Rx8club Queens (you guys know who you are
) Wish I had more pics of the wear on the rotor housings of this engine. Corners seals were in pieces upon disassembly.
Then again the engine had close to 200k on it.
