Hi all,
I've just moved from Dallas, TX to Pelham, NY (close to the city) and I dont know any good shops or dealerships around here. If you have any suggestions where to find a trustworthy one I'll appreciate it greatly. BTW how your rx8s deal with the terrible roads here in NY area, any suspension problems so far?

 

I worked with White Plains Mazda on the purhcase of my 8. I have note used thier service dept, since I live in manhattan and unfortuantley use Manhatan Mazda's.

 

Like many have suggested, Great Neck Mazda in Long Island. Although I haven't gone there for anything yet, they claim to have 2 qualified rotary technicians. I wouldn't recommend Manhattan Mazda, it takes them at least 2 days to service your car (they service not only Mazda, but Ford, Jaguar, Lincoln, Mercury, etc).

As for the roads in NYC, if you know the highways you should have no problems evading the potholes since the 8 handles them nicely. But be for warned, new potholes emerge out of nowhere everyday :D

go to eastcoast mazda in new jersey, it's like 8 min. from the gwb, and they'll do a 200 over inv. deal, ask for paco ramirez.

 

I had no problems with my purchase at white plains mazda. have not used their service center yet but it's brand new. they were building it when I bought mine
