Need Nitrous install in NY, Westchester Area for cheap
Hey guys, i picked up a Zex Nitrous blackout kit a while back from a forum member.
got a throttle body spacer and bottle warmer with it.
I admit i bought it without knowing alot alot about nitrous but i thought id get it for the cheap price i found it at. Hold on to it for a while and do my homework.
I've been holding onto it for a while now and i want to get it put in.
Now im hardly a handy man but i know for some people this is a DIY job, ive asked a couple shops locally and some priced me up to $1000!!!
I'm looking for somewhere or someone that can put this is, do a Fast, clean job, and Come no where close to $1000 haha
Any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
Btw i will put up pictures of everything i have later so you know everything i got and if i need anything else.

not sure. i know easy has blown a few uim but im 99% sure that ive read that they havent wasted a motor because of spray. if i had to guess i would say they all have a cobb but its not necessary if you stick with a 55 shot and your not being a retard when spraying
maby some bhr guys will chime in. i dont want to speak for them, im no expert and these guys know their s**t

The mileage of the engine does not matter, provided it has acceptable compression values. Spray as often as you want. No need to alter any tuning, in any fashion, as long as .017/.032 jettings are used and 91-octane fuel or better is used.

The above quote is actually pretty close to being "the secret" for reliable nitrous use.

Hey Charles, thanks for answering some questions. When I mention mileage, I'm talking about how many miles has the motor runing with the NOS kit on there. Since NOS is more of an on/off system than FI I guess it would depend on driver judgement anyway. I've seen NOS on an almost stock FD and its been running for a while but its owned by an older gentleman so maybe thats why.

I have been running Nitrous for almost 2 years on my 80k mileage Renesis with absolutely no engine problems. I did however blow a UIM on the dyno because of my own error. I sprayed while the engine was still in closed loop mode.
My kit was installed by Charles "Ray" Hill from BHR personally. I have to admit that it was one of the better purchases I have made for my car. For cheap(er) reliable horsepower on the fly, there really is no alternative to Nitrous. Horsepower in a bottle baby!!
Most of the people who say Nitrous on a rotary is a bad idea most likely knew someone who tried to go too aggressive with the spray, or just didn't know what they were doing. Like anything... the proper training goes a long way. If you don't know what to do STOP! and ask someone who does.
