These meets still going on? I wanna go sooo bad. I might not be able to take out the 8 though, still snow on the ground here (it's never been out in the snow, i HATE salt )

If its happening this tuesday, I'll probably be there, most likely in my black yaris though, haha.

itll be at least 4 hours for a VERY good installer to do those two. and thats if you have the corksport kit.

its a manual but the guy that is installing it has a manual 94 fd and he has a remote start installed on his (he's the one that does the work) so i trust he can do it

also, what time do you guys meet normal? 1.) my car's getting worked on that day and 2.) I'm buying my wife a FC tuesday (i think lol, she's really bugging me for it :P) and she wants to come but is in the air force and has to hit the sack early . alright well get back to me.

make sure he installs it correctly. you can install a remote start on a manual vehicle with no problems, but you should use a neutral safety device so that it cannot start in gear. the nice thing about the 8 is that you dont need the device if its hooked up correctly, and you wont need to do any "dance" when you shut the car off so that you can remote start it.

^ hint: the rx8 has a neutral switch

Just got back from today's ice racing event.. 6 hours each way to a river up in Maine... 3 hour endurance race while there, plus practice. That's a LOT of seat time Details in the thread below

heh well if you do any sort of racing you'd best not be "playing around" ... but after the day yesterday i'm ever further convinced that ice racing is the best way to get into racing in general...

not only is it really easy to get out there wheel to wheel (vs spending thousands on NASA school), but mistakes cost you very little... In 4 hours on the ice yesterday i got stuck in a snow bank twice (once during practice, once about 2 hours into the race), and had 3 more spins in the center of the track. Had this been a real track I think that first little messup would have ended the day for me (tire/concrete walls are much less forgiving than snow ).

With so little traction to work with, you are forced to pay attention to weight transfer and work out any bad habits very quickly.
