screw the cat first of all, if u want a good sound on a v8 u need to use muscle car parts, jap parts make it sound weird...like that guy that brought the red one...it just sounds weird

go with magnaflow or borla

Stuff like what kind of exhaust I should get or even if I care enough to get one. Since the car is N/A I don't have to worry as much about flow right?

 

you need some backpressure, all n/as do by nature....anything under 3 inches is good, even 3 is pushing it anything over is just excessive and will hurt ur performance

but seriously, a mufflers just a muffler... but import exhaust parts tend to be too big because there meant for turbo cars or just for that big look that lots of the kids like

but for a v8 it makes them sound funny....i cant describe it, its just weird

the kind of websites u should be looking at for universal exhaust parts should be jeggs and summit racing, stay away from companies like apexi and hks

i'd check the diameter of the piping coming out of the ls2's oem header and go from there when making your custom exhaust. anything more you and you sacrifice flow velocity and anything less you create even more back pressure, which you don't want.
