hey i drove on the palisades last friday, is that the american autobahn? i was doing like 80-90 on the right lane and all of a sudden a white m3 and white 335i or si blew pass me, they had to be doing 140 and up!!!!!!!

sorry to knock on the 7 guys (all of them except for the TNC peepz), but i'm pretty darn sure that whatever 8 that's not boosted that comes to this one will just get hated or ignored.. freaking *****.. if there's enough 8s that come to represent half of the parking lot, then it might be worth going

Forget about all that man. You should come because this is all for a good cause and to celebrate the life of one of the smartest rotorheads ever and his special 1 of 1 3-rotor. It's probably top 5 in the states if not THE best. Everyone there is going to be awesome. It's not a snobby event at all you'll see. I was reluctant to go last year but I'm really happy I did. Gordon is an awesome dude and has one of the coolest garages I have ever seen. I can guarantee fun. GUARANTEE (guarantee may or may not be honored). The event is cheap as hell, you get fed and you get to meet Ray freaking Crowe, the GOD FATHER of all OEM parts in the U.S. Plus last time I was there, tons of hot chicks came.

Kel I may be able to give you a ride but I'm leaving at the crack of dawn to help out my man. I may even go a day before the event. Let me know if you need a ride!

This is total BS man it won't happen. I don't mean to sound pushy but there are tons of reasons not to go to the meet. Being afraid to be dissed or looked down upon is not a good one. It won't happen man. Everyone there is as nice as can be. No one is treated like a second class citizen. Not even if you bring a piston car. I think there was a separate lot for piston cars last year though but all were welcomed. It really is a great chance to meet some rotor heads.

would be nice if i'm wrong with this meet, but there's been too many times in the past when i've spent a ridiculous amount of time cleaning my car and forcing myself with a silly schedule or bad weather only to have fc/fd drivers drive stupid on the caravan, cut me off, and dish rocks at me and no one even looks at the car!.. taking the rotor mania thing as an example- some guy thought my car was stock height, another pointed at my engine bay and said it's bone stock except for the rb air box and walked away, and too many comments about the car not being fun b/c it has no power.. why do modified civics and stock lotus elises that are slower than 8s on the straight get the nod, what gives..

bleh don't need to.. if you guys up your pace, i'll just keep setting a higher pace .. anyway it helps having an engine that won't actually go kaboom

Take my car for example... No one notices the 600 jdm guage cluster... Or the aem water meth kit cause it relocated to the rear wAsh tank... All they see is the rims and paint on my car which is cool by it self but wont stand up around other fds.

Thats what i like about your car nothing is over done. Those carbon pieces look allmost stock unless u know rx8.. Wich is what im going for with my 7. I like the modds u really have to look up close to notice

Soon. Its practically done. Waiting on tires and lugs for my new wheels, some new clamps and a steel tank for premix. I'm also waiting for painted interior pieces from the bodyshop but I doubt they will come in time (based on experience I'll get them next year haaa). WI and windshield wiper sauce relocation is going to be put on hold to make it to the meet.

You're wrong about this meet but your experiences sound horrible yikes. I haven't been to as many meets as you so I can't really say anything. All I can say that that everyone was really nice at the Carlisi BBQ. I think I liked it better than deals gap in terms of getting to know people. Maybe it was different because it was a sort of charity/remembrance event while also being associated with cars so people act less like ********. I have no idea. I think the type of people that go to Carlisi appreciate more tasteful cars. If you look at the pics of last year, none of the cars were funny colors or anything. In fact, I think all of them looked stock.

People who put your car down for what you said don't know anything and their opinions are worthless. Some people are really dumb man. I mean we love the rotary. People **** on us all the time. carlisi meet is still up in the air, but i'll definitely consider it lol.. now if something stupid happens again, i'll be officially excused from all meets that involve more than 2 rx7s (besides TNC and DGRR of course lol)

btw just for kicks.. $5 in a retirement account earning an avg. 10% per year put in when you're 20 and pulled out when you're 60 is $226..
and since $5 was already taxed- pretax value of $8 turns out to be $362
