NE NJ local meets on Tuesday nights

They put a road check style stop and used a empty parking lot where they had a swat sized truck running the diagnostics of who ever they moved to the side.
I didn't have inspection, just the 14 day expired pass and that kind worked out for me because they were voiding peoples inspection on the spot.
They had me,
turn to check the tires
VIN stamp check wiper n lights check
rev the engine
open the hood to check for mods
use a mirror to check for a cat
and it got bad when they couldn't communicate with my diagnostic port.
I hear a cop saying a list of violations like exhaust, tinted taillights, ride height, tire condition, etc. So i rebuttlecd with the "i just bought the car" and those are stock lights, legal exhaust, and ride height wtf?
Basically so i approach an older officer n start talking he takes over the rest of the inspection and leaves at "high/erractic idle" and a failure to inspect ticket.

It goes farther than just bothering people its un-constitutional to most lawyers to do any kind of stop check.
Its actually because jersey is broke again, and on the verge of shutting down again ( same with ny).
Governor Christie wants to bring inspections down to only smog tests to save 12 million as soon as that came out bang! mobile inspection stations, click it or ticket it campaign, and more speed checks from local departments to suck as much money possible.

yea ... I talked to him too ...
and
1) Dave is a pessimist
2) it will not be for another 2 yrs at the earliest
3) even then I do not see it catching on quick ... no self-respecting cop is going to be emmision testing a car on pull-over
4) I live literally over the border, and 70% of my driving in PA is on back roads ... otherwise I am in Dirty Jerz...

SORRY GUYS, I WAS DRIVING DOWN FROM THE BX. TO GO 2 THE MEET BUT, SO MUCH TRAFFIC GOING TO THE G.W. BRIDGE IT WAS ON A FULL STOP THAT TRAFFIC WAS HORRIBLE. SO I TURNED AROUND AND HEADED TO SIN CITY TO EARLY TO GO HOME....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTs8k9W3cI4

No offense dude but were not just handing them out.... (not to mention there not even made cause im too lazy
).
Its more like a family.... Its more than just a "come to a local meet" thing...
its a "come to our local cruises"....local BBQ's... DIY's.... to have the sticker is to be part of the family..
we just basically have to get to know you.... last time we made the mistake on giving stickers to everyone who came out..... months later we never most of them again...
So I encourage you to come out and just have fun.. rotary or not... were always having a blast when we hang out.. even if its with cars or not..
