No...there was no street racing at all....got another nice speeding ticket though...2 tickets in just over a month....I'm seriously not driving again for a year...and I am seriously thinking of getting rid of my car....no way in hell I go 2 1/2 years without tickets and all of the sudden I'm getting one left and right

the electrical gremlins are messing with me again...... i think it has to do with my gauge wiring or my battery ground.

 

why whats the car doing?

 

It has happened to me randomly but the car shut off twice while idling. Once was at the tuesday meet dont think you were there lol. I go out to my car sometimes put the key in go for the crank and nada no sound no nothing and only of of my gauges turns on and the others flicker along with the dash needles jump around. I usualy undo the battery and a couple fuses re-attach them and everything is ok. not this time soo im not sure. I think it may be the gauges are wired up strange and causes some short but somehow its being reset when i undo the power or the battery ground cable isnt correct.......i dunno bunch of hoopla we will see.

 

does kind of sound like a grounding issue, and since its affecting the whole car the battery would be the prime source, where is your battery being grounded to anyways?

 

good question ill be investigating tomorrow............i have no clue since i didnt do the relocation..................

 

well if ya stop by on saturday we can look at it lol

odds are its to the chassis, it might be either lose or just not clean enough, let us know how it goes though

 

^ except my car doesnt start lol. So this morning i woke up extra early to rip apart my trunk to see how the battery positive cable is grounded. Take a look. I also have a red wire with a fuse block attached i didnt have enough time to see how that is connected ill see this afternoon. Im not sure if the ground is the best place.

ken thats a bad ground I know every inch of that trunk when
i was building my system in the 8 I had a hard time with ground point where you are.
check my thread or one of the electronic threads on a good point.I also built a few rx8 systems and even not to mention a rotorfest system trophy
