Hey guys, I was driving in the Bronx to meet my friend, and some freaking idiot kids threw a rock at my car, the bad news is... the rock hit my car...
the good news is... it's only my right mirror (I'll post pics tomorrow).

sooo the question is.... should I just replace it with OEM mirrors? or do you guys have any suggestions on good aftermarket mirrors? and what's the average price on each (it seems oem's are $150+)


btw: no offense to the guys who live in the Bronx..... but god damn the Bronx sucks....

ya.... also while driving home... three white kids tried messing with me and jumping in front of my car. I my friend was like... hit them, and I was like.... dude, I just gotta buy a part for the mirror, if I hit them.. that's a new hood and bumpers

Hmm i almost say buy cf mirror covers but it doesnt look like you have enough of the edge to seal the water out .....someone might have a replacement on the board?

 

i would really have to see it in person, but from that shot it looks like only the cover was damaged, do the motors work? if all you need is the cover, like i said i can get it for you and all you need to do is paint it and pop it in

really doesnt take much to break those covers, plus if your talking about opposite velocities, if he was driving 25 and the kid threw it at like 50 thats a rock coming at you at 75 mph

I was just reading an article about acosta motorsports..... they had 3 rotor rx8, a 20b-rew mx3, an rx8 with a skyline motor, and a crazy mazda pickup? WTF i thought they rebuilt daves motor the first time and did a crappy job.

Its def a nice day out I hit up harriman state park for a drive and part of the palisades.

 

they did good work when it came to there shop cars, especially when acosta SR. was in charge, but when JR. took control things went down hill, money wasnt being used properly, parts would go missing, rebuilds(cough cough) would be half assed, heard a story of them building a porsche or pretending too, they bullshitted so much that when they closed down the owner had to tow it out in more pieces then it came in

 

^ yeah i saw that some ball bearing turbo porshe thats sucks thats why some family businesses suck because the kids are nimrods.

 

back from class, ya I tested the electronics, everything works. and yea the way it looks it looks like only the white cap was damaged. do you think I'll be able to get that piece without the need to paint? at the moment I got a ghetto bag over it to cover the electronics.

 

from the factory they dont(at least i dont think they do) come painted, only way to get it in white is to find it used, it honestly shouldnt cost that much to paint the little sucker
