I know what al is talking about access port maps are not interchangeable throughout the years. Not because of the rx8 but cobb decided to brand their maps to year specific.

My car was verified as a CA car to when I had my cobb now Als cobb lol go figure. I remember checking the make and model and being like uhhh wtf California this cant be right.

OK sooo when are we gonna have the ultimate install day weekend bonazaa lol. I have sooo much craps i need to throw on my car......Greddy is almost finalized waiting for a final price with some added things....Do i need water meth injection..? I think i need wheels would the 40th Anniversary wheels look good? I dont think the 17s will fit my bbk it says it will but im skeptical......
it's not true....for RX8 , it's a high compression car which generate much more heat than RX7, especcially with greddy which creates boost spikes a lot, it's recommended that you use the Meth injection (50/50).
it's better for you to spend your money on that than other things that are not necessary.

Still interceptor x kicks cobbs ***. no one uses it because it expensive and not readily available.
You can drive the car out of boost forever as long as you keep the stock injectors which im assuming you are.
The rx8s stock ecu is pretty beast it will compensate for the extra air while out of boost

yeah, but it's not recommended to drive with stock ECU. you drive it if you have to, and you avoid it when you can. you can use the stock injectors, but if you can upgrade it, you should....but, becareful, my injectors are not compatible with COBB becuase i heard that my injectors have low impedance, something like that.
just becareful before you get upgraded injectors.
I would highly recommend the AP. No aftermarket ecu (reasonably priced @ <$5,000) is going to be better then the stock ECU at doing it's job. Getting it tuned is going to be different obviously (due to availability of licensed tuners), but once the tune is solid and you flash it - you're done. You don't have to worry about compensating for weather or changing pressure since the stock ecu has trims for that. Additionally, you're car will still be emissions compliant and you won't get a CEL. Plus there's alot to be said about a car that tries to remain as stock/clean as possible when you're doing something like this. GL dude.

california cars are all over the place, there not supposed to be common, but its a selling point dealers use, sometimes to mark up the price of the car
they usually make there way here through dealer trading, cali dealer has an over abundance of a certain car or color, puts them up on the website to trade for either something they want or dont have
we do that with our L series Navigators...aparently there big sellers here so we always search to keep one in stock at all times
we have gotten in a couple mustang gt/cs's from cali they have a beautiful color/stripe setup
and congrats kel san
glad everything worked out alright

very true
tunning is very extremely important, make sure that tuner is a expert on that EMS.
it not only will make you more power but save you money on detonation and retune.
but everyone has to learn the hard way till they get it right

it's tru about AP...but the tunning part is a PITA....people don't wanna have a hard time especially with tunning....people wanna have peace in mind, if something happen, they don't have to wait..they just can go to tuner, adn retune it....

but it needs some work its been parked since 06'
needs a new battery gonna do syntec oil change,
while trying to take a turn 5min after picking up the bike, it slipped on the bed and cracked the brake reservoir .FML
dropped it and haven't even rode it yet
stopped at pepboys and got some extra straps for long haul long as drive 30 Min Past JPR shop.but I can see the finished product in my head. Inca powder coated wheels and maybe white fairings.

NOS is crazy that stuff gets me wired. Nice pickup kel post some pics inca wheels like the nos bottle and white would look sick just add kel in a p coat and you are set lol.
