Hey guys whats up ive been away for awhile. I got bitten by a tick and got lyme disease wtf...but im getting better.... my car isnt though the other day went to start it and well it wouldnt fire up. I checked all the minor stuff and couldnt find the issue took it to my mechanic and he says i have no compression. Hes a good mechanic worked on all my past cars and family cars but i dont know what he knows when it comes to rotary's... I think im starting to hate the 8 right now lol.

 

it didn't start or what? may be flooded instead of no compression...does it want to start up but it doesn't start up or doesn't have any start at all...how does it happen? did you let it sit in the cold weather? because mine is sucks in the cold weather, it's hard to start...last time it's flooded everynight....

It sat in the cold maybe a day or two no startup. I have an optima yellow top battery full charge it cranks and no turn over no starting. Doesnt give any sort of starting noise.Doesnt make sense to me it would be no compression because i drove it 30 minutes home before i parked it.

 

does the solenoid on the starter click?

 

Good question cant remember. Cars at the mechanic if no click on the solenoid that means the starter is dead?

 

How long did it sit? The oil film on the house provides a lot of the final compression sealing. If the car sits and that dries out, I could see an engine losing compression while sitting. You wouldn't go from mint to no start but maybe if you were on the edge.
