hey everyone,

im an rx-8 n00b (though i had a 7 before) and need some good people to point me in the right directions. never been in a club or anything like it, so i decided to give it a shot. im in the union city area, and im definitely interested. i have an 04 black rx-8 gt man....bonestock, btw. my CEL just came on, and like i said, hope i can meet some people to get some pointers from. Any requirements for this club or something? or just show up to the meets?

If the car drives fine take it to autozone ( i think kenedy blvd is closest too you) and have them run a obd scanner and pull the code, its free. Theyll let you know what causing the cel. Then come back and let us know what codes are coming up.

Btw no req. for the meet just show up and have a good time tlking cars n ****.

 

meets still are where they are and we can discuss moving it when we are together

 

you are required to memorize fast and the furious quotes and you must come to meets in character costume...

lol, jk...i ain't much of a racer...but i do like to beat a lot of the Union City honda (insert car model here) ricers that try to take on a rotary....key word "try". Anyways, i do like some speed and want to learn a lot more on rotaries...like i said, never been on a car club or anything so i'll be the n00b. i'll do my best to show up and grab a cup of starbucks fancy overpriced coffee while we at it. in the meantime, i'll keep schooling myself with fast & furious films and quotes (i'm kidding!).

Thanks RX927 for the advice. I was going to go to Autozone for the obd test but the CEL just went of by itself. I'm guessing today was the 10th engine start and the system detected the fuel cap was tighten appropriately. (thank you gas station dumbass for not tightening the damn thing correctly.)
