Dude I just noticed "R*Y@L PURP!E" in your sig. Isn't that synth*t!c o!l? If I am not mistaken synth*t!c o!l is no good for the apex seals...
EDITED....Happy CnnmnSchnpps I edited enough that the "SEARCH" function that most n00bs don't used don't end up on this thread asking ?'s about synth*t!c o!l....lol
For the n00bs that end up here....so "SEARCH" else where, lol.

booo lots of bad information here.. $yn 0il (haha) is bad for any engine that hasn't properly broken-in yet. I made the switch to $yn last month and I love it!
$yn. 0il is the best stuff for this engine (so long as it's not m0b1l 0ne.. it's the only one the top mazda rotary guro recommends against for our engines). It can withstand way higher temps and stresses than conventional 0il plus lots of detergents too (ever had an engine that produced more carbon deposits than ours? bingo!). As a matter of fact, since I switched to $yn, my tailpipes have been about 800% cleaner even with idling or hard running.
I read somewhere a long time ago that if a better 0il using nano-technology (something way better than $yn) had been put in the market (very unlikely probably b/c of folks controlling the 0il market(!!)), the rotary would have been the ultimate engine with no drawbacks, including fuel consumption. Our engines had to run a really rich mixture of fuel to compensate for this lack of a perfect 0il.
For anyone interested in knowing more than most of the forum's anti-$yn parrots: read here for more

I'm typing this on my iPhone so it can't be long.
I had to post this because you guys suck!
Synthetic oil was bad for seals in the rotary engine - 25+ YEARS AGO. Nycgps can give you the full explanation.
Times have changed - synthetic is as good if not better for a rotary than dino.
