Well yesterday a few of us club moderators went up to Bear Mountain to scope out the area.

And after careful consideration we feel that we should be arriving at 8am or so to Bear Mountain.

The park is quite popular and we would like to ensure that we get picnic tables and are able to park in teh first parking lot, adjacent to the lodge.

It does'nt take long to get up there. We left NYC and drove the speed limit 55mph all the way up there and got there in 45 minutes with no traffic. So dont say its too far, its actually very close to NYC.

So i know some people are going to flake cuz its not in NYC and its "Upstate" But in all honesty its a nice wonderful drive.

It was a fun day today, we were on some nice twisties, thanks alex, but you forgot, i had a truck , every 1o seconds im almost flipping over.

yeah im going to be there..im glad other ppl from other states want to come. This is going to be one of our smaller meets. Our last meet had 44 RX-7's (No 8's =( )

Well directions are posted on the site from NYC and LI, and for you mid lifer that sould be okay from the palisades...just follow directions, and ask for me iight. My car is the 87 gxl with BRF3391 tags =)

 

not to mention i will be coming from an all day event the day before at HIN....im sure i wont be out of there till 12ish and home by 1ish....only to get up at 7ish!

 

Glad to see you are going to make it Chris. I can't wait to see your 8. I wish I cout get some sleep before the drive. Oh well, double up on the java!
