Edit: neat vid.

Looks fun, though you should see some of the video I got out in CA over the last few days. I'll be trying to get it sliced and uploaded this weekend once I fly back.

sonicsdaman 07-14-2014 07:44 AM

The original video is 35 minutes long, but sped up it gives a pretty good taste of one of my favorite roads out there. You can see my steering input to account for how sharp many of the corners are, despite the camera's usual distortion. This road is always this empty, quite long, good surface, and quite fun. Vehicle is a rented CX-5

There was 1 road that was far windy-er, but the video is actually too dizzying to watch, so I didn't upload it.

keck03 07-14-2014 12:03 PM

It always is a good party at your place 200.

And I am glad to hear you finally got tires. Same rims? Did you go to a wider tire?

I got the wiring of the Metra Kit sorted out and wired in the new box last weekend so I can finally divert hot engine air away from my face. I reset the ECU so i am just letting it relearn idle which is a complete PITA. I prob need another 20-40 more miles and it should be good.

I saw Dave yesterday. He is excited.

keck03 07-14-2014 12:07 PM

What is the current list of attendees looking like?

200.mph 07-14-2014 12:07 PM

same wheels and size. just checked and they were delivered today, a day early. glad you got the metra figured out

Meet up will be at Buddy's Log Cabin Family Restaurant, (97 Tremont Rd, Pine Grove, PA 17963) around 10am for brunch.
There is a gas station a few miles north of Buddy's
don't forget about brunch

RIWWP 07-14-2014 12:17 PM

It is looking like I will be there. I most likely can only afford 2 more track events this year, and I'd rather pass up on NJMP Lightning and make sure I can get to Watkin's Glen and Mid Ohio.

I will be getting tuned tomorrow.

200.mph 07-14-2014 12:25 PM

nice pearl

keck03 07-14-2014 03:12 PM

Are we caravan-ing out there? Dave suggested maybe meeting off an exit of 22?

ttame16 07-14-2014 04:12 PM

I need to get on here more often and maybe not miss events like this.

arggg.

RIWWP 07-14-2014 04:22 PM

This one hasn't happened yet, but i gather you are busy this weekend?

ttame16 07-14-2014 05:03 PM

Not really all that busy but my car definitely isn't up to the task as it sits. I hit a deer about three months ago and finally got it back about a week ago although I'm still waiting on my front lip to arrive.

That isn't the problem though. It has a few issues and it's currently plagued by a p0562 and none of the documented fixes (at least the ones I can find online) fix it. I'm assuming it's the cause of my loopy start ups, random misfires, random lean spikes etc. since none of those occurred before.

Anyways, I don't want to treadjack. If you guys see a random dude in a Solara following with a camera it's probably me. haha

Mine says 81F partly cloudy 10% chance rain :)

RIWWP 07-17-2014 09:40 AM

I'm contemplating pulling my turbo later on today, which includes removing my radiator and coolant lines, and if I'm that far, I might as well remove my intake piping and exhaust piping. All in trying to find the problem that is preventing me from holding boost. If I do start that today, I won't be attending this run. If I postpone to get to the drive, it will be as a heavy N/A Miata, with the wastegate wired open.

Of course, if any of you all want to come over to help, that works too.
