Me too!

Just got word from my dealer that my baby just arrived on the truck 45 minutes ago! Unfortnately, they probably can't get it through PDI today because they're swamped, but that gives me some time to get organized with my financing, etc. We had guests coming this evening anyway, and I'd just be a fruitbasket if it was actually in my posession, so it's probably just as well that we're picking it up tomorrow.

The one problem is that I can't drive it yet- I had knee surgery a week and a half ago, and I'm stuck on crutches for another week and a half! My husband is just heartbroken, as you can imagine, since he'll have to drive it for the next week until my knee is completely better.

I'm going to visit and take pictures this evening, I'll post them when I get home.

Aww heck: your knee problem is a real nuisance and typical of the bad timing that this life will insist on inflicting upon us all. I can't remember if you've actually seen a green car yet so this should be interesting. Photos please.

I know you have been waiting a long time Elara, congratulations on the arrival of your green meanie. Look forward to some pics and hopefully the week will go by quickly so that you can drive the new car yourself.

Congrats on gettin your car. I am still being given the run around for my Nordic green RX. I ordered the end of april and still haven't recieved it or even a definiative date. I do however have the Vin#. I would Like to see some actual pictures of the green RX so I could get a feel for exactly what the color is I haven't even seen the Nordic green except in the advertisment book. I hope your leg gets better so ya can drive it soon I know all about the Knee surgery just had one not long ago. Good luck and Congrats on getting it

Ugh, what a pain in the *** for you. Have you called/emailed RX-8 orders yet? Maybe they can help. And get Budaman or Fubar to run your VIN, they should be able to help you figure out where it is. Don't depend on your dealer- the poor things seem to know very little. As we were about to drive off with the car today, the dealer was telling me how to use the CD changer- which my car doesn't and never did have.

I took a bunch more pictures today (same link as above)- the green is really hard to capture well- it's literally two different colors in sun and shade. But I did what I could to get the color right. It really is nice, and I'm very glad I went with it. Hope they help you a bit.

I Have to tell you the car looks good I like the color

You said maybe i should contact who? They could possibly help me at least locate the car. I have call the CEO of mazda eastcoast Name Jim O'sullivan or somthing I talked to all his assistants as well as him and they just gave me the run around as well so any more help would be greatly apreciated. I can't belive the pain in the *** has become. I could understand more if I had put in a late late order like july or late june but we are talkin I did my order in april. Although I did call aain today and had them check the computer they finialy gave me a estamated arivale date of first week in Sept. wonder if this one is just another false hope. oh well I like you car didn't mean to put all that on you. Your car looks great I hope you get to enjoy it soon.

Talking Just Gorgeous

After further review it comes down to the yellow and green neck and neck..............That green is very nice, although I would say the black is still in the running.

Great pics Elara!!

My one concern is it looks like you live in some townhouse's , I would have a difficult time ever parking
an 8 parallel to any other vehicle (I park my 7 in the far reaches of every parking lot), I have more than a healthy disdain for dents or dings.
It would be cool if you could park it in that little grassy area or have a designated spot (probably not possible).

I dig the brown accents on the interior, its pretty groovy and the rotary eccents no true rotor head should do without (show your rotary moxy)

Good luck with the car and keep us posted on all your firsts.

They're apartments, and we're both paranoid about the car there too. Currently, it lives in a sheltered spot between my mother's station wagon, which I haven't returned yet, and my husband's BMW. We're buying a house this winter, so hopefully it'll be in a garage soon. If we go on vacation, it'll go stay with a friend who lives in a nicer neighborhood. And the kid across the hall is in love with it, so he's keeping an eye on it too for us. I'm praying that is enough for now.

Fossil , I forgot to reply to you, sorry. Email rx8orders@mazdausa.com (think I got the address right, do a search on the boards and you're bound to find the phone number as well). They should be able to update you about where your car is at any given time.
