I ran into a fellow mazda6club member this past weekend and he invited me to a meet that they will be having Next saturday on the 17th, in the afternoon, not sure on the location yet but I believe it will be either at the NEX in Va Beach or Norfolk..I will post once I find out. A couple of Mazda 6s, a mazda 3, a Rx7, & Me & and another fella on this forum plan to be there. I encourage all you rotary heads in the 757 to come out!!! I want to meet you all, I myself am new to this forum, just purchased my rx8 last november & been meaing to link up with some local members...

at first i thought you were talking about another meet. i'm a member of a local rotary car owners meetup club and there's a meet that night at American Indoor Karting which i will be going to. There's mostly going to be RX7's there.

Alright, I'm on the mazda6club forums everyday and I've come to realize that their are quite of few MAZDA owners here in VA. Sad fact is, no members are actively meeting in groups so I have finally stepped up.

i might show up to this one as well. its really too cold out for a parking lot type of meet.

there's another meet for rotary cars at 6pm at AIK in Portsmouth. for those of you that don't know AIK is an indoor go-kart track.

i will definitely be at the AIK meetup. it will mainly include RX-7's and a couple RX-8's. last month there was a guy with an old school RX-3.

i'm sure nobody will mind if you come out with a 6 or any other mazda. everyone seems pretty chill. last meet we had in January there was an old school corolla and an RX-3.

so far only 6 people from the group said they are going and 6 maybe's.

i called about getting my registration for my RX-8 and it looks like i won't have it by then so i guess i'm driving my crappy 240SX. i'll still be riding go-karts though.

sorry guys i won't be able to make it to the Va Beach meet, but i will be at AIK tonight around 6pm. i'm changing my water pump and thermostat on my 240 which is what i'll be driving. its looking like i won't be able to legally drive my 8 until mid-April.

 

what ever happened with this meet? any pics? i know none of you came to AIK.

 

Yeah man it turned out to be a prty good lil meet, we only had 2 8's out there though...Mike Schaeffer & jskup1... mine was in the shop...got it out l8a that evening & by the time I fin gettn it cleaned & all was very late...Really wanted to make it out to AIK...How did that one turn out?...the fellas took hella pics...I'll get w/will to post some
