Who here lives around somerville? Or atleast takes 93 to work? I keep seeing another black rx8 on 93 and the Zakim bridge. I have seen two different RX8's on the Zakim bridge, both black, and one of them gave me the point of acknowledgement lol. Just trying to see who's around me. Maybe we can get a little meet going.

 

I work in wilmington and take 93 to work, which is basically right next to somerville. I tend to wave at other 8's I see..

Since release (2004), I have spotted three on Rt128 between the Pike and Burlington. A blue one with sweet lights getting off my exit (totten pond rd). Another Blue 2004 that I have seen and spoken to thrice in/around Lincoln (likely the same car). And my own White Water Pearl 2005. I would love to meet and compare notes anytime, near Rt128 between Rt93 and Rt90.

So perhaps that was your "Black" (not Blue) one I saw (about 4 months ago). You let me in front of you, and I remember blue/purple fog lights, that somehow were ON, without the headlights being on!?

Checked out your Blog. Looks like you are having some fun with mods.
That six point is way out.
I remember doing a spreadsheet of the impact of the 2009 rearend (4.777) and tranny ratio changes. If I remember correctly, the distance between 2nd and 3rd got taller, which seemed like the wrong direction for the track.
I did do a few mods to my 1989 GTU.
But since the kid arrived, the RX8 remains stock.

I did take her to Loudon (with COMSCC) last fall.
Autocross never caught on with me.
It is very nice to run near the buzzer on a real track for twenty minutes straight!
Since then I've kinda wimped out, no track insurance for the daily driver, took the wind right out.

In any case, nice to hook up.
Perhaps we'll have time to pull over next time, or see you at a meet.

Funny, I get acks from every RX-8 I've seen (all three since 2004).
What is it with the upper right?
In the lower left (AZ, CA) they are all over.

 

I believe it was Vash137 that I waved to on 95 south and you were in the left coming north. I recognized the MS front. Funny how we caught each other so quickly. VR is such an eye catcher.

 

We really need to get all the MA 8 owners together for a meet sometime. It's kind of sad we have not.

 

Someone was trying to get a Boston Tunnel run going, kinda died quick though. Do I hear Cape Run?

You're from Somerville and I'm from Revere, but I don't think we've ever met or seen each other driving around the area. I drive up and down Rt. 99, Rt. 16, Rt. 28, I-93, Everett, Medford, Somerville, and Charlestown all the time.

We definitely need another Boston meet before the summer is over.
