I did see a thread for Marylanders, but as closely as I can determine it goes back to 2005. Anyone out there in Maryland and would like to exchange information pertinent to Maryland, e.g. good places to go for repairs/service?

Just bought a 2007 GT with 18,500 miles. Stormy Blue Mica. Picked it up for $15K from Bob Bell Nissan, near Baltimore Benefits of buying from a Nissan dealer is that they were not aware that it was a grand touring and thought it was a touring, I let them think so.

Downside, I think they overfilled the oil and it may have impacted by mileage by fouling or partially fouling the plugs. Want to have the car checked a little more throughly and possibly replace plugs and wires. I am only getting 12.4 per gallon based on first tank. I'd be fine with 17 but 12 is really not good, although it might have something to do with my kid with a new toy driving style.

Any thoughts on where to take my 8 for the best service and expertise. I'm in the gaithersburg/germantown area and the posts in 2005 looked like a few owners were very close. I visited Rosenthal in gaithersburg and wasn't that impressed, at least with the sales people when I was shopping.

Also, would love to organize a drive or get together some time, if there is an interest. I do love driving the car, handling is great would just like to drive it somewhere other than the gas station! Today's date is 1/2/2011, hope to hear from some members in the area soon!

 

Post in the Maryland people thread that's where we all are. As for meets the major monthly meet is the tri state monthly sushi meet. As of now there aren't any, we usually gear down for the winter because of the weather. The bigger meets should start up in March or so, but if you want to get a little meet organized we do that every now and then(but in the MD people thread). You have to go to the latest(most recent) post in the thread sounds like you went to the first(oldest) post.
