never thought Rotr8 was like that. dont really know him though and talking to someone online isnt exactly a chance to actually know the person. i thought he knew his **** though. guess not. i mean he never tracks his car but spends alot of money on it and stuff. i wish i couldve gone with you andrew to that track day but i had to work and i cant miss a day. hopefully me and my 8 will be ready late august lol.

Im not sure if you guys know about this so im posting this info. Every Thursday night there is a car meet at stop and shop in Miller Place. I went last night around 1030 or 1045 and ther was about 20 or more cars. All types. Some Grand Nationals, Turbo Mustangs,STI's,240sx etc...... For most of us its closer then driving out to best buy meets that same night. Here is the address 385 Route 25A
Miller Place, NY 11764-2525. There is also a Ruby 2s in the parking lot,pizza MC'D across the street and a wendy's

oh and i understand that youve invested a good amount of money into your 8 which is more the reason to be concerned as i agree aswell. i havent put anything in my 8 and my rough idle is still scaring me.

I don't know where this comes from. Because he has spent alot of money on his car? If you only knew how much I have spent on my cars. The rx-8 are some peoples HOBBY. Hobbys are fun and something you are supposed to spend money on. If you don't like what he does to his car, why should you care? It's not yours. Greg does share what he has done to his car so people can learn and make their own decisions on what they want to do on their own car. Without people like that this forum would be pointless. This applies to you as well, I wouldn't have gone to the track had you not posted about it and what you have done with your car.

Do I hold any of this against you?.... No We can all act like idiots from time to time and we have all been victim to "internet *****" and my e-***** is bigger then your e-***** but lets not forget this is a PUBLIC forum. Anyone can read what you say about anybody.

As for the bandwaggoners, everyone is entitled to their opinions about somebody but don't let somebody elses opinion be yours when you haven't even meet that person or "guess with what little you have read".

I don't know about the bandwagoning by other guys, but I stand by everything I said. I've dealt with enough kids with different attitudes about their cars and I know it when I see someone who above all else likes to feel BIG. I just felt like knocking you back down to size, was fine with how that went, and moved on with my life.

Actually, this is just what I'm talking about. He's got more parts on there than he can handle, use, or setup properly, and then sounds SURPRISED when he's got problems. Do you really think that he's going to be able to actually make any use of the performance benefits of that fancy in-car-on-the-fly electronic dampening controller, or a useless big brake kit (we all know that BBK's on rx8's are just for looks, don't argue with me on this one) Give me a break here.... And then we have to deal with him, yes, bitching, about how something went wrong. Keep It Simple Stupid. He's done just the opposite.
Because the conclusion I reached after only a few hours was that he is more concerned about boosting his ego with expensive bits and pieces than anything else. That's ALL I heard him talking about, either good or bad. And that's ok, I could care less. But when he starts implying that his hardware was holding him back as though it wasn't his own doing (seriously who buys a $$ BBK and doesnt check pad compatibility, cmon now...) then that's annoying. So as I said, I'm just knocking him back down to size a bit and feel totally fine with that...

And for what it's worth, this is not about me, because anyone who knows me know i'm the least egotistical guy there is. In person or on the InterWEbZ. And I didn't say **** about my own performances until he said "I was consistantly faster than the N/A 8's" And CONVENIENTLY later "ohhh I was only talking about the newbies" blah blah just stop. He wants to feel BIG, right out of Psych 101. So obvious. And I've spent more than enough time lowering myself to even dealing with this, so that's all from me.
