Guys - I've got a plan!
There are probably a dozen or more people on this thread who we know or sort of know, but there are at least 30 or 40 people i've seen on the forums who have "long island" as their location but have never visited the local thread. Chances are they dont even know the local group exists.

What If I message ALL of them (using search) and we organize a local meet one saturday around here. Central long island some place. Be a little proactive about it and get a huge crowd?? Introduce ourselves to some locals who may never have been to a car meet before.

How does that sound?

I'll organize it; i'm making a list of all the names I can find. There are a hell of a lot of non-regulars on LI, it seems. I'll pick a date and a location soon (maybe a early-evening sushi place + parking lot or something like that??)

I'm going to aim for a few days before chirstmas, ideally a weekend, and when there's no snow predicted, cause weather definitely keeps a lot of 8's down...

Steve's Collision in Port Jeff Station is FANTASTIC. Steve does all the paintwork and leaves the bodywork to his crew, and they all do a great job. Very flexible with schedules and willing to negotiate on prices (you can get a good deal for cash). Tell him Melina sent ya!

I'll try to make it, hope all my upgrades are done by then. I still don't have all my pieces they are in the mail and we are starting the build this monday. so that leaves me less then 2 weeks to get it done. If the car is mostly done and tuned I'll take it to the meet if not I guess I can roll with Rototivo.

Will be soon! We are starting the tear down on monday the kit should come in the mail the same day. Then we will put it on and Dyno it for tuning. I'm getting all the parts for the battery relocate to trunk but ofcourse they send me the wrong red top so I have to wait again. This has been 3months of planing and I'm going crazy with the delays but this is no time to rush. I will take my time to make sure everything is place correctly before anything. Anyone is free to come to Enzo's shop next to the Deerpark train station to see the progress.

Hey that sounds amazing man.... yeah don't rush, do it right, it'll be worth it.

One thing- are you installing a water/meth system? It seems like thats REALLY the way to go if you want to make a powerful turbo system (and engine) last. Not to mention the power/tuning benefits....

Can't wait to see this thing!

At some point. It's too cold for BBQ, but it'll be a island-wide food meet of some sort.

This may actually have to wait till after the holidays, I like the idea a lot but i'm crazy busy and there's not any particularly good date, it seems...
