w2aew 02-13-2004 09:43 PM

I'll definitely try to make this one! I missed the last one...

Senseny 02-14-2004 05:45 PM

I will be there with the 8 and the FD. I will also post about this on the Rx7 forum. Hopefully we get a great turnout. Just so everyone knows, the meet area is only minutes from the Fort Washington exit of the turnpike, so it is really not that far out of the way.

Irish_in_a_RX8 02-15-2004 12:46 PM

Great Travis, I'll put the directions and info together this week.

bay 02-21-2004 03:44 PM

Hey guys, just to let anyone who is interested in coming, the guys on the 7 board are getting excited about outshining the 8's at an 8 organized meet. Lets get some rsvps so we know how many 8's are going to represent the new rotary owners. BTW, my FD is flooded (I hope that is the problem--if not, I am up shits creek) and I better get it fixed before hand. I need to play the middle on this one. Irish, maybe you can handle directions and links as I never know how to get them on the thread. Sorry about that.

Irish_in_a_RX8 02-22-2004 08:49 PM

Sure Senseny, I'll get that sorted out this week for sure. This is the place right? :

http://www.experiencepa.com/experien...Hall+Arboretum

If so, its just what side of the park we should meet at. If I were closer I'd take a ride down there to scope it out.

So the RX-7's huh! I like a challenge. I'll email everone on the email list perhaps...really hoping for a big turn out!

Senseny 02-23-2004 05:25 PM

Wayne, thats the place and there are links for directions on the page you posted in both spots.
Travis

Go4It 02-26-2004 03:32 PM

I'm in......

Haze 02-29-2004 12:16 AM

Hey John, great to hear you're around, and hopefully, I'll get a chance to see you at the meet. -H

Go4It 03-01-2004 02:42 PM

Hi Haze, Leaving for S.D. on the 4th. I'll be back on the 15th. I need my golf fix......The bride wants to ride along on the 20th. You can help me twist her arm for a meal on Lombard. Should take about 5 sec. Take care and see you on the 20th.

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-02-2004 12:40 PM

I'll post the directions this week for sure. Its alittle tricky, and very easy to miss the entrance, I am sure there will be lots of lost RX-8/7's, good test for the navigation though :-)

Lovin the 60's weather! Over the weekend, too off all 4 wheels, painted the rotors ( they were rusting ) and Zaino'd the rims! I'll post pics today tommorrow.

Chameleon 03-03-2004 07:41 AM

I will do my best to make it. It is not that far from where I live.

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-04-2004 11:56 AM

Great Chameleon!

Directions are up everyone :

http://www.time4design.net/RX8/club_calendar.asp

Also, set some future dates up to June so if you cant make this one, there will be other chances to get together!

Senseny 03-05-2004 01:38 PM

I gotta say that the rx7s look to be coming to this event in force. Check out the sticky in the NE section of rx7club.com .

Yeah, that worry me :-)

Travis, the brick entrance off 73 into the park...do you know of a good spot once your in there where we can all park?

Senseny 03-07-2004 05:44 PM

We should go in the entrance off 73 and follow the road around to the building and park in that lot right behind the building (just follow the road). Once everyone is there we can take the cars around to the lower lots off of Washington Lane which are more open and have better pic spots, but as the 73 entrance is much easier to find that is where we should meet.

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-09-2004 12:48 PM

Sounds good, as does Keswick afterwards. I hope we get the weather for it!

BTW..new domain released today. New directions at www.rx8tristateclub.com/club_calendar.asp

Red8 03-11-2004 12:18 PM

Interested...

You all want another 8 to join ya? I'd like to attend, I live about 30 minutes from Philly...here in NJ. Been with the board for awhile, but due to my move from GA to NJ have been offline a while...

I have a Red 8, hmmm, bet ya couldn't have figured that out! ;-)

SilverStreak 03-11-2004 02:45 PM

Well another silver lurking around Delaware County & the Malvern area would be me (look for the zoom zoom sticker on the windshield). Unfortunately, 3/20 does not work for me but I'll keep looking for other meets. I have signed up for the revitup in June. I'll be there on 6/5, with my son, the Mini S owner...you'd think I'd taught him better ; ), and son-in-law. We did the revitup last year with the 6s, it is a blast hope to see some 8s in the lot at Philly park.

Senseny 03-11-2004 05:12 PM

Red8, we would love for you to join us. This meet is open for anyone with a rotary car and we really want to see more 8's (and meet their owners).

Red8 03-11-2004 07:05 PM

Cool, I don't know about March 20th, but definitely will plan on the June event. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Although I feel left behind by some on this board...had the car for 6 months and not one single mod! ;-( Of course, it's been in storage for almost 3 months. (only 4,500 miles)

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-12-2004 08:29 AM

June should be a ball, their are still some spots for signing up. I personally have yet to do so.

Looks like it might be a good turn out Travis!

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-15-2004 08:57 PM

So, everyone set for Saturday!? Weather so far looks good....i'd like to get a good idea of how many RX-8's will be tirning up for sure. Send me a PM or email at wayne@rx8tristateclub.com. Theres a good RX-7 presense already...I hope to think we can out number them :-)

Update : The weather is crappy right now, but saturday is forcasted 48 and cloudy/sunny. Lets keep an eye on it. If the forcasts change and appear looks be REAL bad by Thursday night..we will have to cancel and perhaps reshedule to the week after! Snow is forcasted for Thursday night, 3 inches plus, but hopefully this will be gone by sat morning. Hey I should change my avator to Weatherman!

Black-dragon 03-15-2004 10:55 PM

sorry but i'll see you in april when i get mine

Go4It 03-16-2004 12:14 PM

I'm still in for Sat.

TPNova1 03-16-2004 10:16 PM

Hmmmm, I think I'll come too! Nice to see some Philly Suburbs people with the same car. Sign me up? what do I have to do?

Senseny 03-16-2004 10:57 PM

TPNova, all you got to do is hop on the blue route to the turnpike, get off at Ft Washington and take 309S to 73East. Follow 73 to the park, there is a sign for Curtis Hall. Check links for maps and show up around 2PM. Should be plenty of rotaries to see (7's and 8's). Hope to meet you.

TPNova1 03-18-2004 03:30 PM

NICE, thanks for the help, I think I'll just use my NAV too.I'll find the Arb. address somehow and log it in. Hey, we are gonna get snow tomorrow no? I guess someone will have to make that call to cancel or not soon...hope to meet you too.

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-18-2004 03:45 PM

Nova, stay posted with this information link:

http://www.rx8tristateclub.com/rx8_tristateclub.asp

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-19-2004 09:48 AM

bay 03-19-2004 05:49 PM

TPNova1 03-19-2004 06:14 PM

I'll be there, I'd love to talk with you guys. -My name is Tim.

Senseny 03-19-2004 06:29 PM

Access roads are all good for the park, look for the sign on 73 that says "Curtis Hall" turn into the park and you will be there.

willhave8 03-20-2004 09:59 AM

My plans have changed and I will be there today. Wife wants to know about other significant others?? You bringing yours? I can bring mine... (any Sam Kinison fans out there?)
Craig

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-20-2004 11:11 AM

Craig. Not sure. My g/f is at work today, otherwise she might of came. I think a few of the RX-7's are taking their g/f's. Anyway - it would be a nice day out regardless, some cool places to walk around in Glenside.

See you in a few.

w2aew 03-20-2004 05:06 PM

Damn, missed it again! I knew there was someplace I wanted to be today! Oh well, at least I changed the oil in the 8 today. Damn!

Senseny 03-20-2004 07:57 PM

Great time, great people and of course great cars. I hope everyone else who came enjoyed the meet. Sorry if anyone got separated and couldn't find the Keswick Tavern, I came back and tried to find you--no luck. I can't wait for pics and others comments. Thanks all for coming.

jfxp 03-20-2004 09:35 PM

thanks for the big turn out everyone! :) i got it all on video but it needs alittle editing, but i'll post it here when its done. I met alot of new people and it was fun hanging around the 8's! i had the red 7 w/ the 2x4 holding the hood open haha. anyways thanks for the meet guys :)

-Kevin

Haze 03-21-2004 01:31 AM

Glad to have all the seven guys there. It was alot of fun for me, and I hope for everybody. Look forward to doing it again, and hopefully seeing some of the same faces again. Great time! Thanks to Travis for hooking up the 7 guys with the meet too. That was really good. Nice job!

willhave8 03-21-2004 06:50 AM

Thanks to Wayne for pulling the local group together and I am glad I went. Look forward to doing it again. I like to see some of the mods described here in person.

It was also great to see the 7's they are still sweet looking cars some 8 - 10 years later. Makes ya dream about the next generation...

Irish_in_a_RX8 03-21-2004 02:38 PM

Yeah, the meet was awesome. Great to see all the seven guys...thanks to everyone that turned up! I think this is just the start of something very good!

I'll post pics tommorrow, here and on the tristate website!

I am still in shock from Travis's Wife zooming past us in their blue 8...what a moment! ;-)
