EDIT: Found a set, no longer looking.


Hi guys, I'm actually a mazda6er, but I browse here quite a bit.

Anyway, I'm located in the dutchess/putnam county area of NY and am looking for someone local that wants to get rid of their OEM RX-8 18" rims.

I'm have my Mazda6 OEM 17"x7" rims and OEM Michelin tires (approx 20k miles on both wheels and tires) that I can offer in trade (if you want them to use as you main set of rims, or a winter set) and/plus/or cash.

It would be great if someone local wants to do the trade (aka swapping the wheels\tires off of and onto my car when the trade happens and your car too if needed). I'm willing to travel (around 50 miles in any direction) to meet someone halfway. I will also travel to Long Island if someone is located there.

I doubt someone is going to want to trade there 18" OEM Rims for the Mazda 6 17" Rims. The Mazda6 Rims definitely don't come close to being as nice as the RX-8 Rims. You might want to buy a set from someone selling in the Parts for Sale section.

 

That's why I'm offering the rims PLUS money or just outright buying.

I know some people like having a winter set which the mazda6 rims would be good for.

Basically, I'm looking local people and the deal can be figured out if anyone wants to sell/trade their rims.

 

one thing you need to check is if the mazda6 17" rims clear the rx8 front calipers.

i would sell my dark chrome 18's for the right price

 

I'm aware of the issues that the 6spd RX-8 has with some 17" rims and I haven't seen a definative yes or no on the forum. If someone local wants them, then we can try them.
