Does anyone know if and when the Tuesday Night car shows start at Bald Hill? Figure we could get some 8's together ever once in a while down there. Let me know!

It is a car show they had the past few years every Tues night during the summer. It is Exit 63 (North Ocean Ave.) off the LIE. I would be interested in any kind of get together. Would like to meet with the other RX-8 owners here on Long Island. Everyone chime in when they get the chance!

 

dam 63.... thats a trip for me especially on a work night... if nuff people gonna go id be down.. hell us north shore mid long island people cud just meet up and go together

Or if you dont want to travel that far, there is always a car meet on tuesday in the summer. Its located in the jillian's parking lot in farmingdale and about 300-400 cars show up every week. Its a great experience. I went last year every weekend to show off the car that no one knew about. Now i won't be as exclusive, but hopefully we meet up with each other.

i gotta tell ya - meeting in parking lots at night is sorta lame. all the ricers do it here on Deer Park Avenue every Saturday night, and it's like the cast of Fast & the Furious comes out. That Jillian's thing sounds like the same thing.

 

Actually, its quite the opposite. The car show is mostly older muscle cars and hot rods. Yes there are the typical "ricers" there but they are only the minority. Last time i parked next to about 10 rx7s. Rx8lover, it is not like another fast and the furious, just a variety of domestic and import.

 

Jillians would work for me... that is actually closer to work. Let's get an RX-8 night together over there...

 

dpa has been like that for years now (actually even since FnF came out)...

i dont condone street racing so i think there is nothing wrong with hanging out in lots ITS ALOT SAFER THEN STREET RACING!

which jillians? the one at the source mall or the one in farmingdale?

 

I use Bald Hill everyday on my normal commute so I'd come if there were other RX-8's there.

They also had a car meet today (Tuesday) at the Exit 63 Park-N-Ride which was a regular event all last year.

I work in Melville so I could also meet up at Jullian's too.

 

Damn I used to go sleddin' there when I was a kid. Whish I was there to see how the Lawng Islanders are doin.:D
