I'm thinking about planning a separate mt washington trip, unless there is enough interest. The biggest thing ppl would need to know is that it would have to be after hours, so we're talking BBQ then hill climb starting around 5pm. That is unless the group is on the large side then we can rent for a day but I don't think we'll see those kinds of numbers.

I'm down for the climb. Haven't been up since 03' in my Jacked up Grand Cherokee. Hope the road is still in good shape. I am about 3 1/2" off the ground now.
Tanabe Pro 5's FTW!

See below for the things I would include:

haha. understandable Dennis. Rod Millen can do mountain climbs in rotaries; why can't we? Lets set the date first and get all suggestions going.

One day or Two? Anyone up for trying to set up a Synaptic3 BBQ day as was planned last year? T-shirts? Any suggestions from last year or anything that you want to see again from last year? In my opinion, last year was a lot of fun; but I am sure we can find ways to make it better.

Things to consider:
Hurricane Mountain Road - YES
Kancamagus Highway - YES
Bear Knotch Road - YES
Synaptic3 Shop Tour / BBQ / Dyno Day - YES (Dana and crew ROCK)
Mazda Support
Shop / Manufacturer sponsorship (give aways, raffles, discounts.) I HAVE GIVEAWAYS FROM LAST YEAR STILL.
Mazda Tech Demo (not sure if we can pull this off, but can look into what we can get)
Mt. Washington Hill Climb - IF TIME ALLOWS
Hike / Swim / Nature
BBQ / Picnic
Dinner Locations
Specific roads in the area that you think would be good - Any Central NH roads in the Winnipisaki area will be great.

What clubs to invite? RX-7Club / RX-8Club +? (note the less the easier to manage, but the more the merrier)

More the merrier for me!

It looks like sometime in June might be the best option; but if you are interested in going, please post up when you can make it and we'll have to see what dates work for all of us.

My schedule is the same as last year so I'll only be able to do the Saturday portion. Drive, dinner, then heading home.

Are there any objections to June 12 / 13 as the weekend?

DRKSYDE 04-14-2010 12:49 PM

No objections from me. I'll have to pull some strings in the "off" department for two weekends in a row.

Let's set the date, start the new thread and put the details up for discussion.

If we get enough support for Mt. Washington I promise not to grumble through the walkies if we get stuck behind granny traffic.

Don't make promises that you aren't going to keep.

I only said through the walkies. That leaves plenty of room for "I told you so" as many times as I like once we're at the top.
