no was in my work truck, had to fix moms boiler. my 8 is in my moms garage till the spring, i have a truck and my wifes 07 tl type s to tool around in for the winter. you have winter tires on the stockers or all seasons? you drive it all year huh?

 

Yeah, Dunlop Wintersport m3s. They are fantastic. I thought about buying a beater, but it was too much hassle and buying something cheap is so risky. No point in buying some POS then having it die and still having to get winter tires. Plus I'd have to drive some POS instead of the 8!

 

hey, was wondering what size your summer rims/tires are. i'm thinking of getting something new in the spring, maybe wider rims for the rear, just wont be able to rotate. what other mods you got if ya dont mind me asking. all i did so far was remove a maf screen, air filter box mod, and k&n drop-in filter. i'd love to do an exhaust but we'll see.

 

The wintersports are stock size, on the stock rims. My summers are 18x7.5, as the budget didn't allow for plus sizing. But the 8 looks awesome with wider wheels. Lots of pics & sizing info in the wheels section, but I think 19x9 will fit all 4, and maybe even 19x9.5. BigO and a few others have been pretty good about answering size Qs in this thread.

Also have Tein S-tech springs - the drop is perfect for the local roads & weather, looks great, and the handling & overall ride are excellent. I did the air box stuff, too. Otherwise it's all appearance stuff: clear corners, front/rear accents, strakes, tint, home-made oil cooler screens, emblem removal/paint, and footwell lights. I do recommend the pettit radio ****. Can't go wrong for $25.

 

hey stupid question, but does your controls for your cooling/heating ever do funny things? mine seems to only blow very hot or very cold, cant seem to get it to blow luke warm. also whats the radio **** your referring to, something billet??

Check the TSBs on Rosenthal Mazda's site for the heat issue - here. If there's no TSB about it you'll have to search the site, probably in the tech/issues & problems section. It's something others have complained about, so there's got to be some info around here.

 

Spotted gray 8 yesterday going north on 146 at the 95 merge... was around 4:45 or so...

 

White 8 in the parking lot at Kent Hospital. RI tags, and a white die-cast model 8 sitting on the dash!

Probably someone that works there? That's my guess since the appointment I was there for took way longer than it should have, so the white was there for at least 3 hours.

 

spotted grey 8 at 7 eleven on cranston st prov, mass tags and a very damaged door.

 

WB on 95 North at 8.45 this morning passing the other (ugly) cars.

Looked like a lady driver. (I was south bound.)

spotted dmc27 and a red fd cruising together heading toward rt 6. the cars looked nice! i was in my tl not the 8.

 

He lives somewhere in EP, I think. But I just happened to spot him and we ended up going the same way. I've seen him before on 114 and had a little fun (as much as you can w/the EP fuzz all over the place these days.)

He waves every time.

Spotted a red GT in the parking lot of Bertucci's today 1:30pm (parked right next to you! )
And just before that, a black 8 parked just down the road across from the entrance to PVD on Post Road.

First 2 i have seen up here in a couple months...and back-to-back no less.

 

Any one who spots a silver 8 cruisin 114 around barrington and bristol or 136 from Bristol to 195 or around E Providence around where 1 and 114 come together and see that it ain't a RI plate it's probably me. My gf lives in E. Providence and my mom lives in Bristol then I have friends in Barrington and Tiverton. I'm down just about every other weekend.

 

Silver 8 northbound I-95 through Providence this morning about 7:45, no appearance package, couldn't see enough of it to identify trim. Just barely didn't catch up to it in the thick traffic before taking 146 NB, doubt you saw me. Couldn't tell the tags either.

 

All of the sudden a ton of them showed up...

Red 8 with CT tags eastbound on Warren Ave
Grey 8 parked right over the border in Seakonk at the Hampton inn
Yellow 8 at the Acura dealer on Warren Ave at the RI/Ma border

This morning:
Black 8 southbound on Route 99 out of Cumberland/Woonsocket. (just saw the top...but unmistakable)

 

SS MT with appearance package and RI tags last night ~8:15pm, in the parking lot of Stop and Shop at Manton Avenue, western Providence. Parked near it, and you were gone when I came out. No change you didn't see it
