hey I saw someone in a blue 8 that looked a lot like mine, just west of kingston. we sounded our horns in unison. it was magical. my wife thinks i'm weird because of this mysterious bromance. she just doesn't understand... was that anyone here?

I saw a red 8 on rt 9 in wappingers falls around 7pm last night, between the Wappingers Falls Toyota dealer and the Plant Depot, he was headed northbound. When i saw it, i nearly burst into tears because i miss mine so bad :*(

Old Hopewell Rd in Wappingers Falls, dutchess county!!
Over the past week i have been on "Old Hopewell" Rd in wappingers heading towards rt 82 and sometimes towards rt 9. I drive a black rx8 with shaved emblems. I have seen one gray rx8 and one red rx8 on "Old Hopewell" rd. Do the owners live locally?

Thanks for the reply. I am in hopewell jct. Is your 8 by any chance red? I saw one pass the other day with a green magnet on the back. I have also seen another red parked in an apartment complex in Fishkill, but its always parked I never see it moved. I am just waiting for my title to arrive and then I will be insuring, registering, and getting my winter blazer off the road for the 8. I just want the oil changed first and am also nervous about bringing it to someone that doesn't know this car.

I didnt even know about this thread. I live in Hopewell Jct. I occasionally go to the car show at the Smoke Haus over on Old Hopewell Road. We should all stop by that show on a specific monday. Would be killer. Im tired of being the only 8 next to a dozen camaro's and cobras...lol.

What event is this? More information would be great. I would love to see if i could make this. I just got my AEM intake from BHR today and im waiting for the Ignition Kit and Intake Undertray to arrive. I do all the work myself.
The only Mazda dealer i know is on Rt. 9 in Poughkeepsie across from the Ford Dealer. I have to bring my car in for the latest ECU reflash and for them to take care of the recall for my clutch bracket. I just dont trust any dealer with my car. Anyone know of a place other then that one?

Yeah ive heard of this there are some really nice cars there on some mondays ive never actually stoped bye though but im down for that anytime, and idk if you guys are into old cars also but i know I-84 those an "old" car show now on thursday? i believe or thats what i heard they had some pics on there facebook, but idk if you guys are into that? but defiantly down for a smoke haus visit.
One of these days ill try and set a date for everyone to show up at the Smoke Haus.

Hey guys, i live in Poughkeepsie and i drive an 04 mazda rx8. I travel to west point everyday, so if you see a red rx8 with tinted tailights, debadged in the front and has a Full Greddy Exhaust its me lmao.. i travel rt 9 everyday, and would love to setup a meet for our cars. Im at dunkin donuts in wap almost everynight. Or try to be atleast, if you see me pop in and talk to me. I love these cars to death.

well i've seen alot of black 8's around, me kevkellz and ksean are all planning a trip to nyc one day if anyones down, a nice littler cruise, spend the day in the city, talk it up, hang out, and head back home that night. Just a nice calm cruise and chill day for 8 owners.
As for the car in kingston, you'd have to describe it to me, i've seen a few. I drive a metallic red one and im on route 9 all the time, theres a couple rx8's where i work, but the owners ive talked to arent on the board sadly.
Alot of the 8's around here are owned by people who prefer to keep their cars stock, i've seen a red, 2 silver, and a blue one all owned by older gentlemen and women who appeared to be more interested in reading books then work on a sports car haha.. but you never know.
i've only seen a total of mabye 8-10 different owners, one i know is a ANG member of the air force at stewart who drives a black one, kev's and kseans are both black.. another black one is in highland and ive seen a riced out red one driven by some douchebag who wants to do a 2jz swap into his engine bay.. I only know a blue one in newburgh so i know ive never seen you before lol nice to meet ya though
