HELP?! Turbo car waiting for me
Arghhhh... i took my car to kdr in PA to get my esmeril turbo kit
installed on thursday 4/24 from morning til 6 p.m we got about 85%
done. all that's left is the intercooler, gauges, coils+plugs and
the dyno tuning.
All that will be done by friday but my ignition coil upgrade is coming
saturday morning. so thats when i'll be going... but i have no ride
I live in northern nj (fort lee by gw bridge), if anyone would be so kind
enough to give me a ride to PA (90 min drive from here) i'd really really appreciate it.
When i get there, they'll be doing a dyno with stock coils and then with
the upgraded coils, then after a bit of tuning, i take the car.
I'll be willing to pay for gas of course... they open saturday 10a.m so
if anyone has time around 8-8:30 a.m...

yea, dave needed to send back the dyno harddrives because it wasn't working properly. after 5-6k rpm, it'd just spaz out.
dave did some base runs with mine at different loads but once he went pass 1/2 throttle, it just went nuts on him.
it did say i dyno'd 226 whp at 5.5k rpm half throttle at 5 psi lol.
dave said the kid was badass and is one of the best he's seen from everything to the craftmanship, to the completeness of the kit, to the very instructions.
things that weren't the best:
1. the wastegate is indeed quite low. (lowest part of the car, which is why i'm selling my tein s-techs... not taking any risks)
2. it's very cramped and a pain to get the kit installed through the small spaces but everything fit like a glove.
3. turbo is huge!! dave got me a turbo blanket. is it necessary? no... but a big help.
4. the instructions are great but some pictures aren't too great.
i don't see any of these issues (especially coming from a guy who spent his whole life working on rotaries) to be anything major.
the kit is badass... it worked out for me since my coils will be arriving this week anyway. videos and pictures to come next saturday

did you have the DSC disabled? did you perform any other voodoo black magic tricks to make the 8 dyno properly? or was it really an issue with the dyno?
steven - did you put on the midpipe? How's it working for ya? BANGKOK!
