anyone from richmond, va here? looking into possibly purchasing an rx8. i'll be doing a lot of reading, just wondered if there were any owners in our area.

 

oh, wow- yup, there's a bunch of us- we have a thread that's about 10 pages long but we've kinda drifted away from it Even get together for meets (once in a very long while).

 

cool! my husband and i are moderators on the mr2 board. used to own 2 of them, but had to get rid of them for personal reasons.

we now have the miata and wrx of course, but we're interested in an rx8. i owned a first gen rx7 and loved it.

the good thing about our mr2 meets, everyone is invited whatever kind of car you own. so if we have any big event going on, i'll post it and see if you guys are interested.

last fall, we did a 2-day event through charlottesville into west virginia. one of our members tracked the va side, and another member from wv tracked that side. great roads, or should i say turns. here's a link to the event.

as you can see, we had an assortment of cars there. we plan on doing this event again this coming year, date to be determined. everyone is welcome.

well i hope you read my little "impressions" post over @ mr2oc.com. i love mine. it's a great car to drive drive, if you get what i mean. i was planning on goin' to the mr2 events this year in my MKII, but my engine is no good. i might still attend in the RX8 tho...we will have to see :D i say go for the rx8 since you two enjoy the pleasure of scenic back roads, it'll be even greater in this car.

 

we're still looking for an mk1 to fix up. go to the meets in the rx-8!

yeah i did read your comments. we just change our minds so much about cars, we just don't know what to do.
