sorry.... Just saw the post about the photo shoot... I would have went. I do have pics from the Pungo drive though... I should be posting those tomorrow morn... I left my camera at home or else i would have posted today.

 

I probably would have been in too, except my car is still at the f$*&'n dealership.

don't know if i'm going to the Jenro's meet or not. i have traffic court on the 14th and don't know if i'll have a license after that. its pretty cool there though. there's usually a lot of domestics there but some of them will come up and talk to you about your 8. at least thats what happened last time i went. some guy with a Viper was giving us compliments.

No, but I've seen the Red Bull Mini Cooper twice in the last two days. That big *** can has got to cause a ton of drag.

 

Oh yeah, I FINALLY got my damn car back!! Now I can get my car ready to go down to Pettit this month.

Also FYI all. The cop who busted me for illegal tints (which were suppose to be legal) called me and said he went an spoke to TNT and TNT told him to have me come down so they could correct the problem immediately. The cop told me once i did that then he would just come out to me and take a look at my car, and then i wouldn't not even have to go to court.

Went to TNT, they fixed the tints. They said that what happened was they were suppose to do 35 on back and 50 on the front, and the guy who did it just put 35 all the way around. Anywho they fixed it and it didn't cost me a dime, and its looking like im not gonna have to go to court so.... Turned out well i guess.

 

that must be why he took your receipt. cuz that seemed kind of weird for him to take it at first.

 

yeah thats good. i'm gonna ask for a continuation when i go to court.

 

John, did they get everything fixed & cleaned up OK? What day are you headed to Pettit? I need to ride in Dan's car yet. I heard it at the Dragon, but the Corksport really overwhelms the supercharger from outside the car. In fact, driving behind Dan, I couldn't even hear my own engine!

JW, glad to hear that worked out. I guess there was a reason for taking it, huh? You'd think the guy would say something instead of leaving you guessing.

BTW, if anyone is interested in the Dragon, here's a clip I shot while riding with one of the guys (full Mazdaspeed setup: bodykit, suspension, intake & exhaust). The bikes were amazing to watch. The video just doesn't capture the brutality of the turns.

 

that video was amazing. long, but worth the watch. sure woulda been nice to go, but i was workin. maybe i can make a trip there on one of my 4-day weekends.

Man i didnt know the Dragon was in NC, I would have went for sure. I thought it was in Florida because I herd Dan talking about going down to Florida so i thought he ment the Dragon because thats what everyone else was talking about. Then i put 2 and 2 together and realized he went to Florida for Pettit. I guess it all just ran together.

I'M GOING NEXT TIME FOR SURE!!!

Pat, Yeah, finally got it back. There's now a rattle right above the driver's visor though. It's going back on Monday for that and I need to pick up a new exhaust because the welds in my MS one are cracking. I drove Dan's car and damn is it AWESOME! I'm going down the week of 24th for mine. The exact date isn't determined yet because Cam is going to Sevenstock.

 

i should be able to make it to the meet tomorrow, maybe late though. i got my court case continued for the 28th so i can still drive for now. i didn't see to many 8 guys RSVP. who else is going?

 

My daughter's soccer starts tomorrow afternoon so it's a no go for me. After ditching the family for the Dragon for 5 days, I'll hang at home. Plus I have to get all the tire dust off the car.

I've got a stock black non-appearance package air dam if anyone wants it for free. If no one claims it, off to the dump it goes. I'm not willing to ship it as it would cost $100 and I'm not going through that hassle.

 

I'll take that off your hands. mine got scraped up some how. i think is from the previous owner and i have bee wanting to replace it.
