I'm with a group of guys who don't really care what brand or model car you drive. We pretty much like anything cool. We have our meets on Thursdays if anyone cares to come hang out your more than welcome to come

Group got a name? Where do you guys meet? Been wanting to get a rotary group going, but any group is fine honestly. About the meet this Saturday .... whats the deal, va beach? Mt. Trashmore?

 

Someone mentioned some sort of parking garage earlier in the thread when we were discussing meeitng this weekend. How about that?

I'm driving down from close to Richmond for the weekend so I've no idea where really. I see 8's in Richmond all the time, but rarely see anyone post on here from Richmond :/ Course I could just be blind, that's entirely possible.

 

Trashmore can get super crowded, how about Chesapeake Park off of Greenbrier?

 

Not sure if you guys have seen the weather report but it's supposed to be pouring rain tomorrow. Thought we had decided on the parking garage at city center at noonish? Anyways if weather is crap it's gonna make for a crappy meet since we can't really be out there with the cars. We can push it to next weekend and maybe give some of the other guys a second chance at it

 

I could only do night time after 8pm. Weather looks *** anyway thou. Saturdays i'm only available after 8pm and Sundays before 12 or after 5. Shitty i know.

So I'm in need of new brakes, maybe rotors too. Any suggestions?

 

I'm not sure how much you know, but I'll tell you what I wish I knew in the begging when I first did my brakes on my 8. The good news is that I can do them quick as heck now .

OEM style is ok really. There is a write up on brakes that I wish I would have read before I ordered mine from online.

My advice, if you are going to auto-zone or any parts store around here, even if you have a base model with a MT, tell them you have the sport suspension. That is how they have the larger rotor for the fronts on MT transmission 8's listed.

I went through a crap load of trouble because I didn't understand that, almost lost both calipers and hubs because I didn't know this and bought rotors that were to small for the front.

In the rear, if you don't have the tool you'll need to rent it from autozone or advanced; because the pistons spin back in place.

P.S. I know you don't know me for crap, but when you decide on parts, if you need help hit me up. I'm in south norfolk, I don't think you are too far.

 

Well I'm thinking of purchasing Racing Brake slotted rotors(sports suspension) from a member: dezau. He's asking $300 also throwing in a set of ET500 brake pads with 50% life left.

I'm registered for SpringFest. Can't wait. The VA Beach show sounds interesting. Will probably attend, not participate though. When's the next car meet, did it ever go down last time?

 

I do not believe any of us met that weekend. It just kind of fell off the thread. PN_WHEEL and I did see a couple of 8's out in Chesapeake last weekend though, which was a nice change compared to some of the other cars I see all the time all over the place.

 

This weekend the weather is shitty once again.
